Declan is "Poly-spoiled", huh? That might not be good for your future. He may not want to stay at Pop any more! That could mean picking up some extra jobs!
I love the kid's-eye view out on the sea racer. I bet that was fun. Trent and Kristi thought about doing that, but by the time they rode a little, ate a little, swam a little, and worked out a little every day, they never got to it.
I wish you had taken 365 pictures at Pop for the PC picture thread. It's way too early for you to be finished, or almost finished! We still have another nine months or so before you go back. Even though we are staying at All-Star Music at Christmas, we will of course visit Pop just because we have to and want to, and we'll bring back tie-dyed cheesecake to put in the freezer and nibble on during cold January and February dreary days when we need a pick-me-up. I'll try to make more time for pictures this time, and hopefully I'll get some good ones of the holiday decorations.
Did you stay you were staying at French Quarter next year? Maybe I'm imagining. Jill and I went there one evening during this last trip, and she told John that's where she wants to stay when they go next September. It is very pretty.
It's sad to hear about the guy waiting in line. It's pitiful parenting when adults act so ridiculous, especially in front of their kids. So often, when I've had problems with a student and the parent has come for a conference, I can easily see within a few seconds why the kid is like he/she is. Those kids will probably grow up with the same bad attitude. Maybe we can hope he was just having an extremely bad day, and that wasn't the norm, but probably not.
I still hope you will get to stay at AKL in the future. I know you had your heart set on it. I'm glad your experience at Poly was good, though, to compensate. I've enjoyed the report and the pictures. If you have never been to the Halloween party, you really should think about taking Declan sometime. I think you would all love it! Hopefully, our pictures will convince you to try it some day.
