It is probably a really stupid question. The rooms with the Verandah's.....
One has an open verandah
The other one is a Navigators Verandah........I watched the film and just saw a big port hold. CAN YOU GET OUT ON TO THIS VERANDAH??????
TOLD YOU IT WAS A STUPID QUESTION BUT DRIVING ME NUTS.
PLEASE HELP.

Yes, you can get out on the Navigators Verandah as well. Same people prefer that type of verandah because they say it cuts down on the wind blowing in your face.

Shirley, I'm one of the ones who prefer the Navigators Veranda. As Andy said one of the reasons is it isn't as windy out there. I also really like the feel of the partially enclosed space. On a regular veranda there are two chairs and a small table. The navigator veranda has a padded wooden chair, a small wooden table and a padded bench. So you can seat three people out there easily or do what I do and stretch out on that bench to read.

Many prefer the regular verandas so they can sit and look down at the water. While you can't look down with a navigator veranda because of the solid bottom you can still look out.

So nice that we get a choice! Two other benefits of the navigators - they are cheaper and you get to have your drill in the cool comfort of Animators Palette!

I loved the navigators veranda...hoping to book it for 2006!!! Its worth every penny!

I wish they had Navigator's Verandahs in the forward section of the ship. They look ideal to me. :(

WOW thanks for all the replies I really appreciate it. We will be off to the western caribbean on April 24, 2004.
I CAN'T WAIT. I have never had a veranda before so this one is going to be special. Thanks a million everyone.

I have never cruised but already I think Navigators verandah would be ideal for us... on our first cruise I wanted to get a Nav. verandah room but it wasn't available (we needed 2 connected rooms for our family of 5)- so we opted for porthole instead. I just don't think we'd use a regular verandah nearly enough to justify the cost for it.. but if we could have gotten the nav verandah- it would have!

we have one of the "half and half" verandah's...it's right between the "regular" verandah rooms, and the navigator verandah. Basically, you have a mostly full verandah at the navigator price. Check out Barb's site for those particular rooms. We are in 6134, I believe.
