I *really* (like a Fish needs water) need the VB Weekender. Should I get it in Paprika (which is a showstopper) or Calypso (my second favorite) which won't pick up dirt?

Ok...help me with the allure of the Paprika. I don't hate it, but I got a mini-messenger bag for X-mas in Paprika and I do like it, but I also liked the "cupcake" pink and green. DH got me this, so I'm not going to exchange. It's fine.....but what makes it a "show-stopper" color?

You dare ask? Why its fabulous! You hardly see bags of that color in airports or on the streets. Its like Shazam!!! I wished I liked the cupcake green as I just came back from a store that had the cupcake green weekender on sale for $60. *sigh*

I would love love love to find a weekender in Cupcake Green around here for $60. I have one in Night Owl and I love it. I would go with the Paprika. Calypso is a really nice pattern but it doesn't have that "look at that bag" factor KWIM

Wow, thanks for sharing those pics!! Nice bag and I love the gift box. You people are bad!! Treating myself to one in each color is fabulous but I think I can't justify it. I already have a fabulous duffel from Lands End (the lighthouse collection) so I just want a Vera for variety. I'm still undecided about color. Calypso would go with blue jeans but with a vera bradley....it doesn't matter. All those crazy colors/patterns go with anything.

On my lunch hour I went to go buy my Paprika weekender (which the shop didn't carry) but I found this store in NYC (a secret, hidden store that no one in their right mind would find). They had every single Vera Bradley item going back for 10 years!!! It was like a gold mine. Fort KnoX! They had sooo much inventory. The store was so secretive that I had to be buzzed in but only after the owner checked me out through the looking glass. Think the Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz. Once inside (I was the only customer in the store), the two women stayed right on top of me, like I was buying 24K gold or diamonds. They showed me everything and were very knowledgable. I couldn't look around freely (it wasn't that type of store) but the ladies were throwing bags at me insisting that I HAD to have this one or that one. They had patterns I didn't even know existed. I soooo wanted to browse and look around but I really coudn't. So I walked out with a Bali Gold medium bow cosmetic case and a Calypso mini hipster. I'm very happy with them.

Oooh I looove Vera Bradley bags!! I've noticed I have stuck with bright collections myself. For my birthday I got a huge selection from the Botanica print. LOVE IT!! So beautiful! I want to get the Botanica Large Weekender before our next trip.

I saw one at Barnes N Noble the other day too that stopped me in my tracks...it is called Symphony. Gorgeous! Those two would have to be my favs, and I do love Purple Punch and Caviar too! I would love to have a Mediterranean White, but would be terrified to use it in case it got a wee bit dirty!
