. . . but I thought I'd post this anyway since it is Dis related.

This is the iRiver Mplayer. I've already been instructed by DW that she will have one before our next trip.

Cool. The DW would love it how much.

Does it come in any other colors? Pink sort of puts my heman woman haters image in question.

I believe it's called Kungaloosh Magenta.

I saw the Mplayer on the CNET TiVo Cast from the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. From what I could find on the Web,

"Originally commissioned by Disney for Hong Kong Disneyland, the iRiver Mplayer has just recently become available in South Korea, which looks to be its only official destination outside of the amusement park."

That was written July 2007. What I found on CNET's review of gadgets from CES 2008,

Among the overflowing handful of MP3 players that iRiver is bringing to the U.S. is the Disney-branded MPlayer (Season II), a supersmall and cute MP3 player shaped like Mickey Mouse's head. Although the MPlayer has been floating around the Web for some time now, I've never seen it for sale in the States. The latest version will come in a rainbow of colors and is set to hit a virtual retail shelf near you in Q1 of 2008. The player is screenless and supereasy to use--it's an obvious choice for introducing your little ones to the world of digital audio. The MPlayer comes with 1GB of flash memory and will be priced at $70--a touch high for such a basic player, if you ask me--especially one that is clearly designed for fairly young children.

"clearly designed for fairly young children" Good. That means that most of us should be able to operate it.

You may need instruction in the operations of this device Ftwildernessguy!!!

That's FW related, I could see someone using one of those when they're camping there. I can't wait to see how it looks in someone's pocket.

Yeah..I would bet if carried in a pocket, the volume would be all over the place as well as skipping to the next song with every step....and NO Screen??? How would you know what songs to skip through? Only 1 gig and 70 bucks with no screen? I would rather just buy a Mickey head antenna topper and wear around my neck and then listen to a nice little $40 1giger where I know what songs next.

Unless it comes with an instructional DVD, I'm lost. Well, I'm lost anyway, since I still haven't figured out the instructions for the DVD player.

I just bought Dancing Mickey with Speakers from Walgreens for $20 - you plug it into any existing MP / iPod into the back and the music comes out of his feet, and Mickey grooves along to the beat! Very cute!

Minnie was also available!

I've seen a few on eBay but Walgreens was cheaper :)

Will it fit in your pocket? That would look awfully funny dancing around in your pocket.

Might impress the babes though!!!!

Ebay is quickly becoming the LAST place to find a good price on anything...it used to be the avg joe selling crap out of his garage or attic...now its all power sellers and store fronts.....I used to love ebay.

What??? Women LOVE when Mickey dances!!!! You didnt think I was refering to...OMG RHONDA!!!! Such dirty thoughts!!!!

Too cute! I love it.

And, Walgreens had a deal today.... spend $20, get $5 back. I got snacks for our trip tomorrow and a couple dog toys for the dog.... gotta save it where you can! That would have been cute to get - wonder how I missed it???
