I find it so interesting to take this viewpoint. It's okay to say "it's not my kind of music". I don't get the need to label something in this manner. I thought it was a blast and really loved it, but I can understand some people being less so. I'm not a big country fan, but I enjoy some acts. If it had been a country act that I didn't enjoy, I wouldn't feel the need to say "just a bunch of hicks" or whatever.
MTE. I hate country and anything that resembles country (except for some Johnny Cash). But I wouldn't trash the show or the people because it's not my taste.
Google is your friend. Calvin Broadus is a low life degenerate gang member. Facts don’t care about feelings.
Nobody said that. No need for straw manning, most of us are adults here. Snoop aka Calvin Broadus is a legitimate criminal. There isn’t any “liking to align” about it.
It’s okay, this is a safe space. Tell us where Snoop hurt you.I agree, when he comes out and apologizes for all the people he’s terrorized, abused, beaten, sold drugs to, or been partly responsible for their death, and denounces gangs and leaves the crips, we can talk about that.

Now I want to go back to see the pearl clutching about the J Lo show lol
It’s not the same argument, though. People who don’t like country, and I am one of those people, would say we don’t like the music to whatever degree of dislike we have for it. We wouldn’t denigrate the artists. Whenever the conversation is about rap/hip hop or female pop singers, it’s the artists themselves being attacked.I love country personally but someone will always trash whatever music is chosen. This argument happens every year.
Same on hating country music. But now, seeing how this thread has gone, I might just go ahead and trash talk it when country music gets its next superbowl halftime show.
Calling last nights show "trash" says way more about the person making that claim than the performers. We all know what it's really about.
I'm 57 and this was not my music at all. I didn't enjoy it. . But I also realize that we don't all like the same music or it would be a boring world. I keep hoping for a Classic Rock half time show.
True but I only attack Eminem and I really don't do that any more. I just think he's a creep. It’s not the same argument, though. I’m not sure I follow you. Please explain without being cryptic what you mean by “what it’s really about“.
How do they do that when Eminem was likely the biggest star there? Its really about race, a pp stated this years halftime was not inclusive , code for too black. Thats what people are being cryptic about, they wont out and out say it but we all can see who is being racist with the way they are describing this years half time show
