This feels so wrong

I just can't get this to jive with Disney, for me it will always be Universal.

Now that Disney has Marvel and the Star Wars franchise, it may as well buy Universal and Warner (which has DC, Looney Tunes and Harry Potter) and be done with it.

I agree and although I am a Universal fan first and foremost - Disney just lost some credibility with me. It's like a nah nah nah nah nah we can't have it 'in' the parks so we'll put in on a bus.

They can use it, just not in the parks. That's why when they had the Avengers skin on one of the monorails, it couldn't use the Epcot loop, as part of the monorail track goes through the park itself. It had to stay on either the MK or resort track since that track doesn't enter the park itself.

I should have clarified..I know they can use the characters likeness just not in the parks.But it seems kind of pointless.They own it yet unless Universal relinquishes use of them in their themeparks they can't really do much but a monorail and bus ovverlay

The purpose of the bus is to promote the Phineas and Ferb crossover special, and Disney resort guests sound like a good audience for that. I would expect to see another for P&F/Star Wars before the next crossover special.

Its still advertisement. From the artwork on the bus their either advertising the new Avengers cartoon, or the Marvel/Phineas and Ferb crossover. Or both

I think its a really dumb move business and brand wise for Disney. So Universal has marvel and made a cool park to compete. So what. Deal with it. You have tons of your own stuff, Mickey, Star Wars, Indy Jones and tons of other things. Its like the rich kid that has every toy imaginable but wants the other kids lone barbi just because they have something.

To be honest I really don't think Disney's acquisition of Marvel was so much about having the characters in the parks as it was about movies and television. Marvel has a LOT of lesser known characters with huge potential in those areas. Heck, before the movie Iron Man was basically a B-level character.

I don't care for the characters on the bus. I know that it's a certain style but they look way too cartoony to me.

I did like the Avengers monorail though.
