This DVC point thing can be dangerous

It is funny because we have not yet used our points (just signed up in April) and have a trip planned for October and possibly February, but I think we are going to need more points in the near future, too.

We're in the same boat - just joined, first trip planned for September, and second for January. I'm already looking at more points because the 12 hour drive is making me justify staying longer. Of course the longer stay is also helping me justify 'needing' a 1 BR with our 2 y/o - because it just would be too long in a studio - lol.

We've been members for 9 years now, and I'm not as crazy as I was in the beginning. However, we just had a great 6 night stay with family at HHI, and we would love to do one again. We met so many people who have a 10+ year tradition of going to HHI around the 4th of July. We bought a HHI resale with banked points, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to have such a great vacation so soon. It will be 3 years until we can get another one if we have to use the HHI points! We will try, maybe using other points for the weekends (they are insanely expensive and we had both Friday and Saturday nights).

The solution to the airfare problem is to take longer trips. My plan is to eventually move close enough to drive to the world.

We are right there with you. Love WDW and VBR so - after carefully considering for a year we bought a condo in Sebastian (just across the Wabasso causeway from VBR). 90 minutes from WDW but of course, a 3 1/2 hour flight from where we really live Hope this all works out!!!
