So I just became a 31 consultant (well - 2 weeks ago) and I am so excited. I was wondering if any of the experienced consultants have any advice. I was thinking of creating a Facebook Group - has that worked for you at all? I am really going to try to make this work. =) I have been watching the videos online and practicing for my first party tomorrow.

(I am NOT trying to drum up business - just trying to get advice:) )

My friend is a newer 31 consultant and she has a FB page. She posts the specials and different reminders on it. I don't know if it has gotten her any business, but it hasn't hurt and it is free advertising!

Her business is really building by word of mouth. Friends of friends booking parties. She got hooked up with one mom in a mommies group and got 3 parties out of that 1 connection. So find ways to get yourself out there, and then mention that you are a 31 consultant. And always carry their products!

I am a Sr Consultant. You can create your own secret/closed fb page to advertiste, but you can't have an open group...infor is in your consultant handbook and guidelines. 31 is very clear about what you can and can not do for advertising.

Go to thrityonetoday.com (tot) and join your new consultants forum. Also pm your fb id and I'll add you to lots of 31 Consultant only fb groups with tons of info, ideas, flyers, etc. Also, best advise is to check tot daily and talk to your upline.

...and welcome to the 31 Family!!!

My friend has a 31 "group"

She did an open invitation thing last year to join her 31 group.

The deal joining the group is that there had to be 12 people committed to purchasing $31 worth of product each month.

Each month 1 person was named the "host" each other people the group were the "guests" and ordered $31 in product each month.

The $31 mark was so that each "guest" would qualify for the monthly special. Plus $31 from each guest would give the host enough to qualify for the hostess rewards purchase for that month.

The only problem is that you have to have 12 ppl committed to purchasing $31 each month for 12 months. Then there is the task of figuring out who will be the "host" each month and they may not be happy with the host reward during that time frame.

The benifit was also that the people didnt actually have to be present for the "party" so if they are out of state or such. The consultant dosen't really have to a real party, since it's just each person giving their order each month.

I didnt join the group $375 in product a year was a tad too much for me, and then of course to stay at exactly $31 each month wouldn't be possible, there are enough products at the $31 mark to stay on budget.
