Interesting email just came over where universal is calling volcano bay their third park

I find this interesting marketing and to consider it a water theme park and not just a water park really puts a spin a how much time and what there is to do at universal.

I got the same e-mail (except for the annual passholder part). So I guess it was sent to everyone on their e-mail list. Do we know how they will limit waiting in lines? Will it have limited tickets like Discovery Cove? Express pass?

I am planning to get a power pass on my next trip, now I am wondering how the annual passes will work with Volcano Bay. Maybe I will have to get a higher level pass!

Yeah I got the e-mail too as I signed up for a Universal Orlando account a while back so I could get up to date information and any special offers sent.

I do agree with their point in the story of "if they continue to tout it as a third theme park, there might be a disconnect with what guests are expecting out of a theme park."

Have you heard about the things they're testing at Wet N Wild. Apparently they're testing a virtual wait thing with RFID. You go check in and it gives you a return time... leaving you free to do whatever during your "wait."
