Will there be another Harry Potter installment at Universal? What do you think it would/could be?

There were rumors about something HP taking over the Fear Factor stage (ANYTHING would be better)

I've read the rumor about Fear Factor being replaced by something HP, but I have no idea if it's true. I hope it happens some day!

I agree this would not be missed. It is a without a doubt that Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley have been Universal's stratospheric jewel's. It would only make since for them to extend their Harry Potter story. What would you vote for as an addition? My vote would be for a Potter themed hotel and how about a Death Eater or Dementor coaster.

My vote would be for a Potter themed hotel....

I have often thought about a Hogwarts themed hotel with all 4 houses as sections for the sleeping rooms and a the Great Hall as the featured dining area. Would be kinda cool, but wonder if the staff would grow weary of trying to honor all the requests to be in either Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff & Ravenclaw?! :)

There is a new film about the Care of Magical Creatures coming out (think they just cast Eddie Redmayne as the main character) That may bring about new location/theme possibilities for an extention

Poseidons Fury would be an excellent building for something Potter......would not miss that at all.
There has been talk that Phase 3 would move into this area. The structure is beautifully themed, so I hope we would not lose that, but there is talk of making it a Chamber of Secrets attraction of some sort. That doesn't quite fit with Hogwarts being a couple hundred meters away, but they could find a way to make that story work.

Remember the folks who thought that WWoHP would be a flop, "since Harry Potter is over now"? Obviously not!

I hadn't heard any recent rumours. With Kong, the Marvel updates, the new waterpark, the Twister redo and the Fast and Furious replacing Disaster rumours, I think that will keep them busy for the next few years.

Don't forget the Nintendo and Hello Kitty announcements. Universal has a their hands in a wide variety of IP to round out their theme parks over the next several years.

The two rumors I'd heard recently are the ones already mentioned a Ministry of Magic expansion to Diagon Alley in the Fear Factor Plot and A Dark Forest/Magical Beast expansion taking the rest of Lost Continent.

That wouldn't be a problem- make each "house" a choice when ppl make reservations- like the different views (standard/garden/pool) and bed configurations (2 queens vs 1 king). I think Gryffindor and Slytherin would always be the first to book up.

How about something involving the moving stairs? There has to be something that could work.... a fun house? Or something with the forbidden forest?

I wish they would make a third area or expand the current ones but I'm also excited about all the other goodies. if they did expand, I might have to move closer so I can go all the time.

Think the best and most like expansion would be Ministry of Magic where Fear Factor currently is. Think it has the most potential as it's the main large area from the series we have left to see and could make a large themed queue out of. Would have you enter in some manner reminiscent of the books, floo network would probably be the easiest. Then the queue would go by the large fountain and wind through the offices. Then the attraction would be a Mystic Manor style trackless dark ride through the Department of Mysteries. Could have all the crazy items and stuff fromt eh different rooms and maybe even have an attack from death eaters and/or dementors.

Over on the Hogsmeade side could be interesting to replace Sinbad with a stage show of harry Potter. Could be cool to see a wizard battle on stage between the Order and the Death Eaters. Could also do a ride that goes through the Triwizard Tournament. Could be an intereactive ride too where you "cast spells" to escape the dangers like the Dragon, Grindylows and other creatures in the maze.

These attractions would also make new additions that are different from what Universal currently has too.

Some people propose that the recent chunk of land bought Universal could become a HP exclusive park, or maybe magical America from Fantastic Beasts. But the Ministry of Magic rumor is a lot more likely since Fear Factor isn't even relevant anymore.

But they also have a lot on their plate right now with 2 rides being built, plus the new Nintendo land to start on in the next few years to be ready by 2020 (or so I've read)
