Thinking out loud about substitutions at bakeries

I was perusing my CS options for my next trip, and I'm wondering...
At the Norway and France bakeries a CS meal is an entree, pastry/dessert, and drink.

With the new substitutions of a "snack" for a dessert or beverage, if most of the pastries are also snack credits, in theory could you get 2 pastries instead of a beverage.... Right?

Well, I'll be trying in December. I'd much rather drink free water and have an extra snack or pastry to eat later.

I saw the email you sent and the response from Disney in the other post. One thing to keep in mind is the response said exchanges could be done at "any Disney operated location" so those that are third party venues, such as Les Halles, may or may not participate.

FWIW, several years ago we were able to choose 2 pastries and a beverage at Les Halles multiple times so that seems to be a good sign that they might allow 3 sweets or savories.

That is a very good question!

If you look at the preliminary 2016 brochure it lists the Disney owned venues. The third party locations have until the end of the year to sign their contracts for next year so they are not included yet:

Perhaps, but with a total cost right at $13, it's a lousy use of a QS credit value wise. That credit is "worth" about $18.

Gastons is Disney owned, but isn't on the list as it isn't a quick service restaurant. It only sells snacks.

I understand but, I dont see it in term of $ but in term of meals. My daughter eat like a bird and will always share QS with use. If I use her QS for 3 snack that we could eat for breakfast, the dinning plan will cover 3 meals a day for us

And that will be one of the "legal" ways to get around the "kid's must choose from the kid's menu where available" rule. If a Disney kid can share with an adult on their QS meal, using the kid's credits for 3 snacks makes that kid's QS meal VERY valuable.

Hm, I only just started looking at Quick Service restaurants at the parks yesterday and never knew about the bakeries Epcot has. I have Kringla Bakeri on my list now for a QS lunch for my future trip and maybe, if things are that good, to return for pastries if I have leftover credits.
