I have Verizon Wireless and right now I just have an LG phone with them. But I am due for a new phone, so I went on friday to look at a new phone and I checked out the iPhone 4! I can get a pretty good deal on it too, the phone right now is $199.99 and I got a $50.00 off a new phone credit. Plus the salesman at the Verizon store was telling me, that if I upgrade to one of the smart phones I would also get a $100.00 visa gift card! So it would make the phone end up being about $50.00 after it is all said and done!

I also would have to pay an extra $15.00 a month, on top of what I pay right now. Which for what I get does not seem to bad of a deal.

But I guess I just want to get input from others that already have the iPhone 4
Tell me what you love about it and what you don't like.

I also did hear, that an iPhone 5 is coming out in Oct. But I am sure, I won't be able to get a good deal on it( like I can get now on the iPhone 4).

Thanks in advance!:thumbsup2

I love my iPhone 4. I can't imagine what the iPhone 5 will have that I will possibly need. I went from Blackberry to iPhone and I will never look back. I have since bought a macbook pro and lament all the time I spend dealing with crappy Dell.

If that $15 is for the data plan, if you plan use the internet a lot or watch many videos on a non WIFI connection, the $15 plan won't get you very far. I believe the $15 plan is 250MB a month which wouldn't even last me 3 days but I am constantly using my iPhone to go on the internet and watch YouTube videos.

I'd go for it! That $100 credit to move to smart phone won't last long.

The iPhone is a great phone. You'll really enjoy it. As the poster above mentioned, watch your data. Be sure you're on at least the 2 gig plan.

I would go for it as well. I can't live without my iPhone. It sounds like a great deal.

I really love my iPhone. I was an Android market girl for awhile and didn't think I'd be able to love anything else. We switched to AT&T and it was between 2 Android phones and the iPhone. I went with a Samsung first and it was terrible, so I made the switch to iPhone. It's very user friendly. The only gripe I have about it is the lack of an SD card, but I just make sure I upload pics often and erase the ones off my phone (the camera app I bought takes great shots).

LOVE my iPhone 4. I had the 3 then upgraded to the 4 when it came out. They made a lot of improvements from the 3 to the 4 but I don't see where they can improve the 4. The camera is awesome!!! It takes great pics and the only camera I used at Disney.

I watch movies on it, streaming netflix. The picture is so clear.

I'm using it right now for this post :)

I can't recommend it enough! Go for it!!

I heart my iPhone. For $50, I would buy 3 more lol. I switched from a Blackberry to the iPhone in May and will never look back. DH has a Droid which he hates with a passion and is getting an iPhone 4 in September or waiting for the iPhone 5 in October.

According to their website, the lowest plan you can get is the 2gb plan at $30 per month. There are two lower plans, but they are only available for basic phones.

Glad to hear about the iphone! I have the droid and am thinking of getting the iphone this week.

I would have to pay $150 for it. Normally the store around me runs a special where I can ge the accessories and cases for free.

I love my Iphone 4. It is so intuitive and easy to use. It syncs with the home MAC computer and even my laptop.

We are a MAC family with everyone using Iphones, MAC computers, Ipads. They are great for kids when we are on the go. Movies, games, educational tools all in one little pad.

Yesterday I needed to check Amazon at work. Just took out my Iphone, logged in and saw what I needed. Easy peasy.

OP, hope you don't mind me asking a question?

Does anyone have trouble uploading pics from the Iphone 4 to their FB accounts?

My DD is stuck at college right now w/o a cellphone. Her smartphone died and they don't make that version anymore. I was going to get her the Droid for $79 online with VW but the reviews are dreadful. For $199 I can get her the Iphone 4 which she really wants and reviews are favorable, though I hate to spend $199 :guilty:

Thanks!

I bought a refurb iPhone 4 16gb for $99 off the ATT website and it looks and acts brand new. What a great purchase! I love it to death! I never thought I needed an iPhone but I had an iPod touch 8gb and was running out of space all of the time and was sick of carting that around plus my cell phone so I figured what the heck? For $99 with double the space of my current iPod it was worth a try. WOW! What a difference! Can a person be in love with a phone? Like the other poster above, I cannot imagine what the iPhone 5 will have that I will need that my iPhone 4 does not already have.

I love my iphone4! FYI for those looking to buy, I got mine from walmart for $147...and it's the pretty white one, lol!

Just so you have all the facts before you buy. (This is Verizon only) The iPhone 4 (and most likely iPhone 5) are not 4G phones. This means your data will be slower and you can’t talk on the phone at the same time as surfing the web. This may not be a huge deal, 4G is not yet available everywhere and your battery may not last as long. Just remember you are buying the phone for 2 years, so 4G coverage will be coming soon. Also there is no guarantee the iPhone 4 will receive updates past the upcoming iOS5.

On September 8 the Droid Bionic will be available which is a pretty awesome phone. It will also be much more expensive, priced at $299 to start. The iPhone 4 will most likely drop in price at that time. Of course the availability of the $100 VISA card may be your biggest motivator.

I have the iPhone 4. It is awesome!! I don't have any complaints.

And about uploading pics to FB--no problems whatsoever.

Never. It's way easier than my Blackberry.

I also got a refurbed unit for $150 in May. To the PP that asked if you could love a phone, I sure do!

Thanks for posting about the iphone 4 with Verizon Wireless. I was hoping that you could search the internet while on the phone, but now see that you cannot with theirs. Although I never had to use that feature, it would be nice to have.

Hmm....can't decide on what to do! Whether I should just keep the droid and wait to see if verizon gets the 4g or bite the bullet and get it now......decisions, decisions!

Wait. The iPhone 5 is expected to be released very soon.

I have an iPhone 4G with AT&T and being able to talk on the phone and search the internet at the same time is a very useful feature.

So that you have "all the facts" -- the fact that you cannot talk and surf on a Verizon iPhone has to do with the network type, not whether or not it is 3G. Verizon uses CDMA, AT&T (and several other carries) use GSM.

Also, tbh, for most uses of a phone 3G is plenty fast -- I'm not worried in the immediate about my data being "too slow". Also, Apple will generally support a product for several generations of updates. Since the 3GS is being supported to iOS5, it seems unlikely that they would not support the 4 to at least one update past 5.

OP, I loved my iPhone I would buy one again in a heartbeat, and will be switching back from a Droid in November. I despise my Droid. Maybe if I was a programmer/developer I would feel differently, but I'm going back to an iPhone to fit in with my macbook and iPad 2!
