Thinking of visiting during late May or mid June and need advice...

Normally I would plan my vacation around late August to early September to avoid the crowds, but this year I am thinking about making a quick 1-week trip from after Memorial Day to sometime in June. I want to check out Avatar and Volcano Bay.

What the best week to visit? The lesser the crowds the better

Early June is better than mid June. Southern schools start getting out but northern schools tend to go until mid June so crowds shouldn't be horrible until later in June.

I'd definitely go the first two weeks of June over the last two weeks. As noted, northeast schools get out mid to late June and families start their summer travel then.

My husband is a teacher, so we only can go in the summer. We've gone twice in June, and have a third trip planned for this year, the week of the 11th. So I guess the second week. Crowds are there, but Touring Plans has all the crowd levels at a 6 or 7, and honestly, -I- don't think it's that bad, unless it's for Peter Pan, or fireworks but I adore Disney. He just is along to humor me and eat, lol!

It is not as crowded as Spring Break-but I feel, there really is not a down time anymore. Just do your EMH and get your FastPasses. Since you went in August/Sept. you will be used to the heat. Have fun, we are planning to go next year in the middle of May. This is the first time, we haven't been to Disney in 10 years and last year we only went to the MK. We just felt like there was to much construction going on and we wanted to wait till a few things get completed.
