Thinking of shipping a box to myself at the Grand Californian

We've done this in past years at WDW resorts and never had a problem. This year I'm thinking of shipping the Xmas presents for the kids and other misc. stuff to the hotel in advance instead of carrying them in the checked baggage (and maybe deal with having TSA opening the wrapped gifts). Does the GC also accept guest packages (and hold onto them if they arrive early)?

Yes. Make sure you write your check in date and even your reservation number on it.

Yes, you can do this at all US Disney hotels. Also many non Disney hotels are happy to do this for your as well.

Most hotels will happily hold and receive packages sent to their location. Just write the guest name in care of to the hotel location and verify with the property how the receiving of packages is handles. Hope this helps !

I always ship stuff to GCH because it is faster and cheaper than shipping to Hawaii -- and it will be there when we arrive. The Bell Desk is awesome and will bring it up to you or you can get it at the counter.
