Yes, it might have a funny taste.

My advice is do not fill your water bottles at the resort.

The food court has filtered water by the soda station.

Fill your bottles there.

Don't drink Florida water!! It tastes nasty! I lived in florida for two years and I never drank the water ( well, except for the first time, then never again, yuck!!)

I always get bottled water when I'm there. I've also heard that any CS location will give you a cup of ice water for free; I presume that's filtered water.

I just ordered 3 water bottles with filters from a website:

The bottles are similar to the Brita water bottles we used in '02. You can fill them up with tap water and there is a replaceable filter at the top of the bottle. It filters the "yucky" Florida taste out of the water.

Got some awful water from Casey's, and it is not filtered. The ice is filtered, and free. Just ask for 2 cups of ice, and on a hot day it melts really fast.

WDW water does not taste any worse than our water at home. Actually, it tastes better. However, I realize that some do not like it. My suggestion is to get the tap water and bring along Kool-aid packets (or Crystal Lite packets) to add to the water. Make the drink mix week. You probably don't want a bunch of sugar, just enough to flavor the water.

We always drink filtered water so after tasting the water in Florida I found it very unpleasant to taste or smell. We drink bottled spring water while we're there but I have heard that some of the supermarkets sell bottles with water filters built in which removes the awful taste.If we are desparate for a drink then we do refill our bottles from the drinking fountains we just make sure the water is really cold.

The water on Disney property has a slight metalic tang to it. It's not as good as bottled water, and I sure don't like it, but it doesn't make me sick.

Water off Disney property has a sulfurous smell - that DOES make me sick!

I carry a Brita Fill and Go filtered sports bottle for my drinking water.

I actually drink water at the bubblers/fountains! I have no issue with the water at WDW.

We take a Brita pitcher with us, we drink a lot of water and taking bottled water would be kind of a hassle, so we just filter the tap water. It works out well.

we live in Maine and have well water that is great...so to us the florida water is gross....never even feels cold

We don't mind the water that much. Depends on what you're used to I guess. We have a Brita we take, but a lot of times just use the fountains at the park and then we don't have to carry the brita around.

We bring wide-mouthed bottles and do the following:

Each morning we fill them with ice from the room ice bucket. I'm presuming that the resort ice cubes, from the hallway machines, are made from filtered water, since there doesn't seem to be a swampy taste. If there's a question on this, then I'd suggest using the ice from the food court. Once in the parks, and the water is gone (about Noon, typically) we ask for large cups of ice at a counter service restaurant (often along with lunch, which means there isn't an extra stop needed) and add the cubes into the wide-mouthed bottles. To that ice, which is seemingly filtered, we add regular WDW water. Perhaps the swampy taste is reduced, since one-half of the contents come from filtered ice...?

All in all, it's not Figi water, but heck, it still keeps you hydrated.

I've always read complaints about the taste of the water at WDW, but personally, I just don't get it. Tastes like water to me!

Maybe it's because up until 8 years ago I've lived my entire life in big cities AND always drank tap water.

I buy bottled water at home only for convenience, such as taking some in the car. One of my poker buddies recently went into my fridge and looked at the water bottle label; the water was "made" by Nestle. He asked me, "Does Nestle make good water?" I looked at him like he was from Mars, because I swear I couldn't tell you one bottled water from another from tap water.

The water at WDW is horrible.

I'm taking a Brita sports bottle and extra filters. I have a toddler who I am sure won't drink the florida water because it's so different from the water at home.

Oh, did I mention we leave in the morning......LOL!!!

We buy bottled water. I think we might bring a filtered pitcher this time around, since we'll be in a DVC room with a fridge, so can fill it and put it there to get cold.

Because drinking the tap water, even when brushing my teeth, is not pleasant.

We allways take 2 2qt. pitchers with us. We pack them within our suitcases and they take up hardly any room. The ice machine ice is filtered so we melt that for drinking and just add more ice to fill up our waterbottles for the parks and also have ice melting to drink, brush teeth and so on. It does not take any time to keep this going and we allways have plenty of drinking water.

As far as I know Disney has it's own water filtration system. The water that flushes - goes through the system and is recycled. That is what I read some time ago.

Waste Water/Reclaimed Water
The wastewater system consists of a tertiary treatment plant with a permitted capacity of 15 million gallons per day, gravity interceptor and collection and transmission lines with 29 lift stations. In addition, the effluent disposal system includes a 1,000 acre site containing 85 rapid infiltration basins and a reclaimed water system with an average demand of 5 million gallons per day that is used for irrigation of golf courses and other landscaped areas.

Potable Water
A potable water supply and distribution system provides service to customers throughout the District. The system includes 11 Floridan Aquifer wells and four pump stations with a total design rating of 60 million gallons per day to meet an average daily demand of 14 million gallons. To augment the water production facilities during peak periods, the system includes five above-ground water storage tanks having a combined capacity of 7.95 million gallons. A high priority is placed on the continued safety of the water supply, protection of wellheads, maintenance of existing facilities, expansion of facilities to serve new development, and water consumption.
