Serving Irish-Polynesian fusion food in a Bennigan's-type setting. Except with lots and lots of tiki lamps. I'd also have limbo bars available at each table in case you felt the urge. I'd serve Guinness in hollowed out pineapples. You like?

Do you think Disney's 'Ohana restaurant would sue me for some sort of name infringement?

(Sorry for the silliness ... couldn't resist while staring at five threads in a row calling the place O'hana's. :-) )

I am a big Guinness fan, but I am not sure how it would taste drunk out of a pineapple.:rotfl2:

Thanks for posting. This is a big pet peeve of our family too.

I've always said they should have named Raglan Road O'Hanna's just to start confusion.

1) No.
2) Just go ahead and invest all the bucks with confidence.
3) gthe term 'Ohana is a Hawaiian term for extended family.
4) Tough to copyright a dictionary word.
5) Have you looked in the phone book and noticed all the "family" restaurants?

NOTE: Stay away from the Guinness in the pineapples. Guinness doesn't go well with the sweetness of the fruit. Sure, Guinness "goes with anything", but just not with pineapples - and maybe kumquats and yellow jelly beans.

If you're looking for investors, I can throw in $100 (and I already have an idea for the servers' uniforms: "tropical" print / shamrocks / various shades of green and white.

Thanks for the laugh! The "O'Hana's" thing drives me crazy too and I noticed how many of those threads there were today.

:rotfl:

I'll toss in a $50 investors fee too - sounds like a winner to me! ;)

i'll buy a share... i think it's a success in the making... of course, serving corned beef and cabbage on st paddy's day is a must-do! ;)

Corned beef, cabbage and Polynesian pineapple noodles. Just keep pouring the Guinness.

Another brilliant idea: The House Drink should be a renamed Kungaloosh. I know - how about the O'Kungaloosh?!?!?!

Well heck while we are at it let's get a bunch of actors to come in and pretend it's 1937.

It will be if those actors are LOUD enough!!!! :teeth: And I love the entertainment suggestion - after all, we need to compete with TWO restaurants: that Polynesian AYCE location with its kids' activities, and Ragland* Road with its musicians and dancer!

*misspelling intentional
