Thinking of May 3 - 11th to go... questions...

I was on the fence on whether to go to DL for 5 days somewhere between May 3 till 11th or for 5 days somewhere between June 7 to 15 (Either date set would be 5 at Disney, 3 for San Diego/LegoLand).

So, seems like hotel and tickets doesn't matter, but we save $100+ per person by going in May.

SO, saving $400 means a lot, and therefore... want to make sure this is an ok date to go.

Looked up the park info and for the May dates they have info, nothing for the June dates. The hours are 8 a.m till midnight on Saturday. 8 a.m. till 11 pm on Sunday and then 10 to 8 M-Th. So, good enough open hours for us. We could even do the park the first day we get there and nap midday and then go back to see the fireworks adn stuff. So, sounds good.

Now my questions...
1. How will crowds be then? Would the start of the week (May 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) be less crowded then the end of the week (May 7, 8, 9, 10, 11)? The 11th is Mothers Day.

2. How is the weather then?

3. Are there any known ride closures besides It's a Small World? (IASW is closed for both dates so irrelevant to us).

4. Would you recommend this date set?

Thanks tons!!
Nora

EDITED - Scratch this.... Daddy just said Mommy can't pull kids out of school like I previously had thought he said ok to. Guess we are now looking at the June dates... sorry for all the confusion. Guess this is irrelevant now...

OK, so Nora isn't going during that time frame any more but I just got a quote for this exact time from from Alaska Airlines and I am wondering all of the same things, crowds, heat etc.

Any feedback appreciated.

We will be going to DL May 10-15. I might add that this will be our first time to DL, but we have had family members go at the same time the last few years and they have always lucked out on crowds. Mother's Day they said wasn't as bad as they thought and the weather was in the mid 70's with one day of year.
I'm hoping for great weather and smaller crowds myself.

We went during May 11-17 this past year and expected Mother's Day to be really crowded but it wasn't bad at all. We didn't arrive until about noon and it was still very manageable......no really long lines and wait times. Our previous trip before that was during the 1st week of Sept. when the crowds were really low, so that was our comparison. Our May visit was more crowded than our Sept. one, but Mother's Day itself was fine. When the weekdays hit, it actually seemed more crowded. On Tuesday, when we arrived, the line to get into DL stretched way into the esplanade. It seemed that every school or youth group was there on that day. :)

We are going May 13 to 17, and although we really like going in off times, we are hoping this is off enough. Have to go at this time as the trip is a reunion of sorts and to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. We'll be a big group, 6 adults and five little kids, so I'm hoping it isn't too hot and crowded..fingers crossed.

We went this week in May last year. We had an AWESOME trip. Crowds weren't terrible at all. For whatever reason, it was much busier on Monday than the other days we were there.

The weather was wacky though, big heat wave that week, we spent a fortune on water.
