Thinking of late August. Did I miss all the promotions?

Hi everyone. We are DVC owners but are running low on points and considering either POP or POR for a mid to late August trip this year. If we drive, I may allow each of my teens to bring a friend, so we will need 2 rooms. I haven't been paying attention to promotions, etc. because I wasn't planning another trip, but it looks like I can do Disney cheaper than a week at the beach with some good discounts What's everyones opinion on free dining or other promos for this time of year ? Have we missed them all?

A general public Free Dining offer for fall 2011 dates was announced last summer... but to take advantage of it you had to book your trip before sometime in December... I want to say the 20th. Since most of us don't (or can't) plan our trips that far in advance, a lot of us are hoping they'll have another free dining (or some other offer) for fall dates. So yeah, hopefully they'll announce something soon! Keep your eye out on these boards!

So you haven't missed any promotions for late August that were announced this year... But you did miss a free dining offer for late August 2011 dates that was announced in 2010... and had to be booked in 2010.

There was a general public room only offer that went from August 14th - October 1st, however that needed to be reserved by March 27, 2011.

However there is another general public room only promotion from April 22nd - August 13th, which is 25% - 30% off the Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas. Book by 4/30/11 for stays most nights 4/22/11-5/28/11 and Book by 5/28/11 for stays most nights 5/29/11-8/13/11.

Are you a member of AAA because they have discounts for all the WDW Resorts that go from 10% - 20% off and it can be reserved by calling the Disney Reservations Center, so that's better then nothing.

Our dates start on the 13th of Aug. and when I tried the room discount it only gave it for the 13th and then regular price for the rest. Apparently Disney has changed from including your entire trip if you book even for the last date of a discount. Even had Disney Unlimited try and they came up with the same result.

After the present discount expires I'm expecting to see something for the rest of August and thru Sept. I'd book what you can (your first day?) with the current discount and then wait for the next discount.

Actually I said earlier that WDW had a previous room only discount from August 14th - October 1st which had to be reserved by March 27, 2011. So they won't need to add another for the rest August and September.

I had the same problem, but read on another thread about clearing your history, then going through the chip and dale special offer for Walt Disney World link on the main Disney Parks page. Worked for me.

I called WDW travel and booked the YC no problem yesterday when the discount came out. If you're still having issues I would call

For whatever reason whenever I try looking up dates from August 31st - September 4th it comes up as a Magic Your Way package, even though on the special offers page it's listed as a room only discount and etc.
