Ugh! I am so frustrated! I've misplaced my last folder of "goodies" from HHI. The one that has all the activities listed and restaurants, and all the good stuff. I'll keep looking!
I will tell you that I do really like HHI, but if you are used to Myrtle Beach being your SC destination, you will be bored silly at HHI. It's not an action packed island by any stretch of the imagination. Basically golf and shopping. However, at the resort, there's hammocks everywhere, the rooms are spacious (room layouts of OKW) and there are activities pretty much all the time.
I think the service at this resort is just fantastic. We once left a pillow there and realized it about 3 hours into the drive home. They FedExed it next-day at no charge. They are so friendly and willing to help you with dinner recommendations, directions, just about anything you need.
I enjoy just walking around the resort. There's a paved walkway that winds through the beautiful old trees, by the water, with hammocks along the way. The buildings are painted so that they blend with nature. And the BIG rocking chairs on your balcony are just great!
If you are looking for a slow-paced, R&R vacation, I would really recommend this resort. And if I can ever find those activity sheets, I'll report back in! I bet they'd be happy to fax you a sample sheet though. The fax is (843) 341-4130.
