Thinking of changing month of 2014 trip

After looking at flights today and reading about pre christmas trips I did a dummy run on flights etc for the same plans. The only difference was $100 not $200 gift card. About £55 cheaper for CSR but flights m+m £150 each cheaper.
I love the christmas theming in disney and going late nov/early dec still warm weather and low crowds.
Question is do I pay the amendment fees from september to november. What do you think?

If you booked direct with Disney then there will only be an amendment fee if the costs goes down.

I personally love September and miss being able to travel then. You've got the hot weather and the start of food and wine

I enjoy our December trips (we go just before Xmas for 10 days) and seeing the Xmas stuff is nice but although we've had good weather it's not warm enough to convince me to get in a pool and I really miss food & wine.

September lovely and hot but more chance of rain. Not bothered about food and wine festival but then I hv to consider dvc booking as well and would probably be more limited in december.

December I would plan on only being able to get your home resort and that would need to be booked 11 months out.

September is always quite good for choice at DVC.

Well my home is WLV so that would be perfect. Iv emailed disney regards charges . The price is a bit less but if I change the hotel to pofq it bumps it up £50. Would they still charge if higher price?

To update as confirmed I cannot get both weeks I needed in september off work next year I spoke to wdw and they have changed our dates to 30/11/14 for 5 nights at POFQ. If we stayed at CSR there would have been a £50 amendment fee but changing to POFQ made an increase of £39 so still saved £11. Never stayed there. It also kept the free ddp and the $200 gift card. Just need to decide if to book dvc part before or after but considering its TG prior may go for after.
