Thinking of a Christmas 2015 trip.

We've been twice and this Christmas will be our 3rd time. The crowds can be insane, but with some planning it is very manageable. It's my favorite time to be there. The decorations are wonderful and the shows (CP, especially) are great, too.

I'll be sure to report back after this trip.

Oh, please do.

I wouldn't trade our December trips to the World for anything! :cheer2:don't be discouraged by the crowds--go early in the month if you can and if you can't, reserve your resort now, use the 180 day mark to make all dining reservations (there is NO hope of walk ins), use DME for your FP+ and you'll be good to go!! The world is absolutely beautiful during the Holiday season. Don't be stingy--use the CP dining package; the Fantasmic dining package, etc. utilize the evening EMHs in the parks where you can enjoy Disney Magic until 2am!! pixiedust:

Crowds are scaring me a bit. But, DH countered all that by saying "we have rode the rides already, we would be surrounded by CHRISTMAS". Kinda took the sting out of it a little. He wants to take part in all the Christmas stuff. I am a ride kinda gal.

We've been in early December twice while the crowds are on the lower side and it's like full blown christmas! If the crowds scare you, subs consider that?

Three years in a row, we've been in the MK first thing in the morning on Xmas Day - seriously, we are early birds and have been in the park no later than 7:30 on any of those mornings. If you're early birds and happy to get in at the crack of dawn to do a lot of rides before 1, then enjoy things like a sit-down lunch, the Hall of the Presidents, the Carousel of Progress and a few of the other relatively-short-line things - and your three fastpass+ choices - or Park Hop to another park, or head for a movie or a DTD (Disney Springs?) reservation, then you'll have an amazing day. We love the excitement, and like you, we aren't there to try and clock in 20+ rides in the day. If you're able to plan it 180 days out, you should be able to do Christmas Night dinner at Be Our Guest - or head out of the park like we did last year for a late dinner at Cali Grill that lasts until the fireworks show.

And yes, we are doing it again this year, but not on Xmas Day because of schedule conflicts - we will be there most of the week thereafter.

I was scared off by all the crowd reports before our first visit. Trust me (even though you have no reason to ;) ), there are ways to minimize the impact of the crowds. 2 years ago we went from 12/22 - 12/28 and the only time if really felt crowded was at MK on Christmas Day and we dealt with it and had a great time. EMH and RD are your friends. I'd go every Christams if I could.
