Thinking ahead..??? re:MNSSHP

I've never gone before, but since we'll be there Oct. 15-21, it's a MUST DO this time:-). I just know my kids will love it (as will we).

Can anyone tell me where I'll find the dates, when they become available (I think I read April). Are they easy to find on the WDW site? Also, can I order tickets online or do I just call the Disney number? Is it hard to get tickets if I'm on the lookout for them as soon as they are available?

Thanks.

Last year the 'tentative' dates which are not the official dates released by Disney were pretty much on every unofficial Disney Fan website, even on the DIS. There were also threads here about it as well so just keep an eye out.

Disney officially released the dates and tickets April 30.

You can buy them through Disney on the phone and a couple weeks later, also online. It takes them awhile to add them to their website. They will be under tickets, under special events.

The tickets are not hard to get. Last year only a couple of nights were sold out and that didn't happen till at least Sept.

Have fun planning.

As mentioned above, it's not like an Illuminations cruise -- you should have no problem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there were any sell-outs until late September early October.

For all who had ADR at CP for your MNSSHP night-when did you eat? What did you do while waiting for the festivities to begin??
Thanks!! :earsgirl:

We had 4:05 ressies at CP before MNSSHP and it worked out great! We didn't get seated till 4:30 or so and by time we were done and dressed the kids in the bathroom at CP it was close to 7...maybe around 6:30- 6:45. We went over in front of the castle and got a good spot for the Villians mix and mingle and then as soon as that was over hit Fantasyland which was deserted.

Well, now that someone has mentioned getting the kids dressed....how many adults out there get into costume?? I have a great Malificient costume and dd, who turns 13 that week, really wants to be Tink. Since I am traveling with another mom and her turning 13 dd, I want to give them good info. Would hate to be all dressed up and the only adults doing it!!!

LOL. We went last year on The 28th which was the Firday before Halloween, I wouldn't say it was crowded even for a Friday but in certain areas it was more crowded (Main Street, the castle) the rest of the park was so empty. I loved MNSSHP as did my husband ( we went without the kids) this year we are going again but we will be taking the kids, it is our first ever family vacation. Can't wait.

I am thinking that Beatty Family is rightabout the dates and it will be Tuesday for us:)

I noticed several people will be there when we are too, I believe it was Goofy4Tink who is staying at BWV, that is where we will be staying too. :)

I'll be at the BWV as well! Planning on the Oct 26 party! :wave2:

Yes, lots of adults dress up!!

Bummer beattyfamily....we'll be on the plane, going home while you're at the party!!! Looks like either the Tues or Sunday party for us.
Maybe we'll see you there CharityLynn!!!

Hi goofy4tink, although my Hubby and I did not get dressed up, we saw a lot of adults who did. Many of them were with children and some were by themselves. I kind of regretted not bringing a costume, but Hubby wasn't so keen on the idea. We did decide to wear matching black t shirts that had Jack from the Nightmare Before Christmas on them, (Jack glowed in the dark!) and we got a lot of comments from the CMs in MK.

I would recommend wearing a costume! It could only add to the fun of MNSSHP.

We planned to dress up for 2005 MNSSHP, but as we got closer to the date, the weather seemed to be too hot to wear our costumes. Actually, I had to change my youngest daughter's costume also(pic in my signature). This year we also plan to dress up, but with cooler costumes.

BTW, we went SUnday October 16 last year an it was not really crowded. It seemed like alot of people at parades and shows, but we walked right on most of the rides. I don't know when we'll be going this year(DH hasn't picked his vacation), but I know it will be in October and I know we will be going to MNSSHP. Also it will be our first trip "home" to SSR.

I would really like to go to MNSSHP on Halloween. Am I crazy? I have a friend who went last year on the 30th, and she said the crowds weren't bad at all. I'm wondering what the 31st will be like!

I went on Halloween night twice; in 2002 and 2004. I also went on Sun, Oct 2 too.

Yes, it is pretty crowded but it's still great fun. If I were at WDW over Halloween, there's no place I'd rather be. If you plan out your night and set priorities you will have a blast.

Looks like we'll be there at the same time, but you'll be cruising also. What night are you planning on doing MNSSHP? Since we have HDDR booked for 10/25, it will be either the Tues or Sun before that.

We will be there the same time as well :goodvibes We are arriving 10/14 going on DCL 10/15-10/19 and have HDDR booked for the 7:15 pm on 10/25... which time are you going? I haven't decided which MNSSHP yet... we will be at the parks 10/19-10/28.

We'll be at the 9:30....maybe we'll catch sight of you on your way out!! Look for the two frazzled ladies with the attitudinal 13 y/o dd's..one with red hair, the other one blonde!!!

We are booked 9/28 - 10/2. What are the chances of a party during that time? (Sorry, Im not very good at compairing dates)

I was at WDW last year those same dates. There was a party for me either Friday, Sept 30 or Sunday, Oct 2 and I went Sunday.

So you might have one. Last year was the first time, though, that the first party was in Sept.
