thinking about starting a blog, need lots of help.

Looking at suggestions on who to go with. I have no idea how to start, but my DD wants to start a blog with me, and wants to show our scrap pages and photos etc. Is there a fee site. How easy are they to customize?

also, my biggest concern is privacy for the kids. I assume the blog would be available to anyone who comes across it on the web?

any other suggestion for a newbie would be great!

go to blogger.com it is super easy to get started with blogger. I started a blog a few months ago and it is a lot of fun! You're right about everyone being able to see it. I just try not to post my full name, identifying details, etc., but I don't worry about it too much. If you want something more private, you might want to try joining Facebook.

Blogger is free.....that's where my blog is (link is in my siggy)....it's really easy to use, and I even learned how to "scrap" my background, so I can change it however I want to when the mood strikes......you can keep it private to invited people only or you can make it public. Mine's public, but I know lots of people that keep theirs private. HTH

If you want it to be private you can. Under permissions you can change it "to only people I choose." You can have up to 100 readers. Those readers will have to login to read. Blogger is part of the Google family of sites, so if you have a Google account, like Gmail, then you have a Blogger login.
