We are thinking about splitting our upcoming 10 day trip between Caribbean Beach & Wilderness Lodge if we get AP Discounts. What I was wondering is do others split there stays between more than one resort. How would you get your luggage from one resort to another if you do not have a car ? Does Disney help you ? Thanks for any help, Ron....

I've never done it myself (but would like to try it sometime) but I've read right here on the forums that Disney will transport your luggage to the next location while you are in the park having fun. When you are done in the park, you can just go to the new hotel, check in, and head up to your room.

I'm not sure if your luggage is waiting for you in the room or if the bell station has to bring it up.

I do this most of the time, like to split time between MK and Epcot areas. Resort will gladly transfer your luggage, just keep in mind they don't guarantee delivery until after 3pm.

We just split our stay between AKL and FW cabins. One week at at AKL and one at FW cabins. We took care of the luggage moving ourselves and let them store it until the room was ready and then had it sent to the room. Everything worked out just great.

We split our stay between the AKL and the WLvillas (3 nights each) - that was great for us. We also stayed two nights at the beginning of the trip on-site at Universal - at the Royal Pacific Resort. On our AKL check out day, we arranged for a late check out (I think 1 p.m.) and then went to early entry at the Animal Kingdom. At 12 or so, we headed back to the resort and just got our stuff and loaded it into the car (I recommend valet - its only $6 per day with unlimited in and out privileges). Then we went to lunch and then headed over to the WL where our room was ready. Splitting stays is a great way to see many resorts.

Last year we split our stay POR and YC. We loved it. We checked into to the YC about 8:00 in the morning, then took bus to water park. We went got back our luggage was waiting for us.
It was almost like having 2 separte vacations. This year we are also splitting SWAN and HARD ROCK (1st time). Hope this works out as well. Try it.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We have typically split our stay between three places! It's worth the time and energy to repack and move in order to experience the different resorts. We have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, which was just gorgeous! All Star Movies 2 x. Port Orleans Riverside 3 x (will always be Dixie Landings to us). Caribbean Beach Resort and some offsite places. Definitely split your stays - you won't be disappointed!:Pinkbounc

Glad to hear the great replies. Splitting our stay sounds like a must, now all we need to do is get some AP DISCOUNTS out so we can book our rooms.

We did it for the first time in June when we split between The Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Boardwalk Inn. We had no problem at all with Disney transporting our luggage for us.

It was great trying out two new places - almost like two separate vacations! If you check out my signature, you will see that we will be splitting resorts again. :)

We'll be at AKL for 5 nites and 6 nites at Dolphin. We're also renting a car which wil make it so much easier. I don't know if I would do a split stay if we didn't have a car and weren't staying
11 nites. Actually,as a "newbie" at this planning stuff,I'm wicked proud of myself for already having booked my rooms, the Dolphin swim, learned about AP's AND have them already!! I NEVER could have done this without the help of many here! For that,I thank the people of the DIS!!!!!!!

Disney will help. We split our stay last august between CBR and Wilderness Lodge. Although we had a rental car they offered to transfer it for us when we told them we were heading to wilderness lodge. We did not use it, but they will help.
