Now that one vacation is over, I need to get moving on next summer!:yay:

Thinking about taking some time to take the kids to France. Not really sure if I want to stay in one place for a few weeks (Paris) or travel to a couple of areas.

It seems like renting an apartment or house for the time we are there might be the most realistic for our needs. There are 7 of us.

Anyone use an agency they could recommend for pricing such accommodations?

Any good websites for travel to France one could recommend?

Thanks all!

We're doing three weeks in Europe this summer, ending at DLP. We leave in 2 days.

Not sure about rentals, although I know people who swear by VRBO.com and homeaway.com

If it helps, here's a Symbaloo of many of my travel links (It includes France, Germany, and Italy): http://goo.gl/GEIf2

Hope that helps.

Another option (and one I've been toying with) is staying at a Eurocamp or Keycamp site - some have gite type things or mobile homes which sleep up to 8. The bonus of these places is you have things on site to occupy you if you find you don't fancy a day out sometimes - multiple pools, kids clubs, mini golf, spa, shop etc.

There are a few within a decent drive of DLRP - Berny Riverie (sp) is one and I can't recall the name of the other think it's Le Croix vie pont or something (sp) but if you look at Keycamp or Eurocamp websites you'll find them on there.

I was quite keen but the drive for the ferry is putting me off as it would add a great deal of time to the journey and DD1 in particular isn't great on a long car journey!

It does seem a great idea though - the thought of spending a bit more time exploring the area as well as doing a few days at DLRP appeals to me (not sure about DH though )! He is reserving judgement until after our next DLRP trip!

Thank you all for the information! At least it gives me some place to begin to see if this is right for us.

Have a great night!
