Thinking about December

I want to suprise the kids with a cruise this year. Really wanted to leave from Galveston which is drivable for us. Who has been at the end of Nov or first week Dec how is the water ? Thinking of altantis and castaway key , we're all about the beach and swimming. . We went 9/26 last year and temp was perfect for us.. can anyone compare?? Thanks

We've been twice during this time and had great weather during the trip and smooth sailing. However, we did find CC too cold to swim.

I've gone twice in January and the water and weather was always fine for us! Although we come from much further up north, so I'm not quite sure what your used to. But I always found CC to be beautifully warm! Snorkeling was great last time! Can't wait to go back down again this Jan!
