We have never been in Mrach before and try avoid school holidays. But, next year our two daughters will both be in college. They have the week of March 17 th off so we are thinking of going then. We already have a trip planned for this November when our son has a few days off from school and November is our favorite t,e of year to go that we also can have off from work. We are limited on only being able to take vacations between November through March. So, is it crazy buy then? I am hoping not, since Easter is much later next year.

We went this year around St Patricks Day and crowds were good. I would compare it to Mid November levels. PS. St Patricks Day in DTD was fabulous!

Easter is later next year, so you won't have to deal with that, but Florida schools have spring break in March, ours is the week of March 23........

Great question we are in the same boat but I want to wait until 7 month mark for that same week since I want to use the rest of 2013 points from 2 different resorts along with middle DD doing student teaching and we are unsure if she will be off that week even though college is.

I may be in the same boat too IF our BWV points come through. If we get the contract I will try to book half of the trip there whenever I get the points. Otherwise I will use my remaining 2013 AKV for the trip and try to book tomorrow at the11 month window.

So, school in Florida have their breaks at different times I guess?. I think our daughters break is an early one so it may not be too bad.

We go every year, same time. Second week of March so that we can catch Spring Training in Viera, Fl home of the Washington Nationals.

Every single year it is always crowded. Always. Between Spring Break, the Cheerleading competition, and sometimes Mardi Gras there is always a big crowd.

Now is it Christmas time crowded or Food and Wine crowded? No. But definitely a need to plan your fast passes carefully.

Thanks, I don't want to delude myself. I appreciate it. I think we will try it though. The only option for the girls is January, but since we are going in November I would rather space out our trips a bit more....also I am hoping the weather will be warmer then too!

Yes. It will be crowded but not unmanageable . You will have spring breaks from Texas and other states too. Not just FL. It is too hard to take our high schooler out at other times now. If you plan your day and fast passes you will be ok. I find the crowds much more manageable when it isn't quite so hot as it is in the summer months. Also, you can't count on it being too much warmer in March than January. This year it was much warmer when we were there for Marathon Weekend in January than it was for Spring Break in March.

Hmmm, good point. But, I guess the only way for us to know for sure is to go and try it. I think we will go in March for this trip. But then the next year try January and that year take our son out of school if possible and do one trip with our whole family. This will be our first time going twice in one year because of the kids schedules...

We went march 16-19 after our cruise, and it was pretty good. Saturday was a little busier than the other days, and the headline rides still had long waits. We had no problem getting fast passes though (sometimes they run out during busier times). We would definitely do March again. The weather is great.

We've been in March a few times and I think that generally, it's one of the less busy times, though those are few and far between anymore. It has been getting consistently busier in March lately from my observations but haven't all seasons? The days of an "off-season" have essentially disappeared, which is exactly what you want if you're Disney.

Lots more larger "groups" like competitions and stuff than other times of the year, but given the beauty of F&G and spring in FL, very manageable to us. We'll probably go in March next year, as a matter of fact, since we missed F&G this year. I love F&G, maybe even more than F&W. I know that's sacrilegious to say around here but at best, it's tit-for-tat with us, and much prettier in March to us.

We often go early March and the crowds are light (by wdw standards). Not Jan ,Feb light but no where near what you get during peak seasons.

We did the last week in March in 2011. We thought the crowds were manageable.we were going to do the same week this year, but with Easter so early, the points were really high. We do plan on going that same week in 2014. Just hopingfor a little less rain. We had two days of intense rain 3/11. But at least the other days were warm and sunny. We went this past November ov Thanksgiving, and it was a little cool for lots of pool time.
