Thinking about a Limo treat for the kids....

My partner, her two boys, 12 and 10, arrive in Orlando on Boxing day. It's the kid's first visit to Disneyville and we'd like to make it as memorable as possible.

And one of the things we think would do that would be to arrange a stretch limo one evening to take us out to dinner or a show. They always excitedly point out a limo when they see it on the road here, so we reckon they'd be thrilled to actually get to ride in one. We kinda like the idea of getting a huge big limo, then making the kids think we are just gonna stop to get dinner at somewhere like a Ponderosa... before carrying on to somewhere a little more exclusive ! I bet their faces would be a picture !

So, I'm seeking any advice you folks can give me as to which company/s would be a good bet to arrange this with, to get some idea of what an evenings limo hire might cost, and maybe even an idea or two about a good place to take the boys that night - I'm thinking something like Planet Hollywood, mainly to give them the maximum 'strangers-gawping-at people-getting-out-of-limo' factor. No dinner shows please, sorry, those are my idea of a nightmare...

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks !

We used Happy Limo in 2001 to get to All Stars from Sanford. The kids loved it and still talk about it today.

I forget the exact cost but it was no more than the taxi back to the airport!!

It was great fun, with ice cool drinks on offer, the TV, and of course the rock star look inside. Lots of fake fur and leather:p

We felt very glamorous as we arrived at our destination.

You can book with Happy limo over the internet I believe.

Have fun!

Great idea the kids will love it.

My 3 kids, DD16, DD14 & DS7 were lucky enough to have a ride in a limo in Oct of this year as part of a wedding we were attending over there and absolutely loved it.

The limo was decked out like an aquarium and was fantastic. Also my DS7 asked the driver if he could 'pretend' to be driving the limo for a photo and the driver was more than happy to oblige.

Have fun.

We used happy limo end of october and were great driver was very good. if you arrange to pay cash get some sort of receipt off the driver when you pay as we had a bit of a problem when the driver didnt remember me paying him and happy limo trying to charge my credit card.

was all sorted out without much fuss and i would use them again

cost was $182.00 for Airport to hotel wait 1 hour then drop us to downtown disney

and then.... $102.00 for Hotel ( in international drive) to Orlando airport
