Think we let our DD watch too much TV?

While trying to get my 5 year old to go outside and play just now, she complained that she didn't want to because then I would make her take a shower in my bathroom afterwards. She then volunteered that she would go out and play IF I let her take a bath in her tub upstairs. While thinking of the pros and cons to this, she said "Deal... or no deal?"!

I just finished laughing...

My DS calls that the "Number Show" as compared to American Idol which is the "Singing Show". He never pays much attention when it is on TV but I did overhear him the other night while playing with his toys saying "Deal or No Deal?"

while at my niece's first communion party, one of my nephew's managed to totally annoy his mother. His response: Just call Nanny 911 and get it over with!

Essentially, my bathroom = shower. Her tub = bath. Don't ask me why, that's just the way it works out. I prefer her to take a shower because it's quicker. Plus, her little tub = greater opportunity for a soaked floor. It's pure laziness on my part.

Thank you for re-affirming our descision to get rid of the television when our son was born... Well, we didn't get rid of it, but we don't watch anything but the occasional DVD.
