Doubful - very doubtful.
All video game consoles are subject to some degree of price-fixing by their respective manufacturers. The best any retailer can do is (with the exception of the Target/Wii deal, last week) offer a gift card along with the purchase.
That, along with the fact that the big stores (
Walmart, Target, Toys "R" Us) do not make any decisions on the hometown level (those decisions are made at their corporate HQs in Arkansas, Minneapolis, and New Jersey, respectively), leads me to believe nothing further will happen.
Furthermore, next week's ads are already sitting at local newspaper offices around the country waiting to be inserted in this weekend's papers.
Video game discs, on the other hand, should be the big draw on the 26th, since a lot of tweens are now getting gift cards for Christmas.
