Short people unite...Being short is good because...

with all the capris and crop pants out now I can finally buy pants that I don't have to cut off and hem. How about you?????

I never minded being short......I just make tall men reach up to get stuff for me!:teeth:

I can't think of anything right now ( too Early)
but i have to agree i love buying pants i don't have to cut
capris fit me just perfect:D

I have to agree, capri pants are wonderful, but they aren't capri on me. They work out to regular size, I just don't have to hem them!!

I love being short and being completely enveloped in my SO's hugs.:D

I love being short because:

I don't own a ladder so DH has to change all the light bulbs.

Shopping in the kid's section is cheaper than the adults.

Getting patted on the head all day long keeps my hair silky smooth.

My fists are positioned in prime locations if DH gets out of line.

I always get an extra lollipop at the bank for being one cute kid.

I only pay child price at the buffet.

I still get carded and boy does that make me feel young!

::yes::

I like being short, I can slip through a crowd (think WDW) easier than any tall person. The crowd doesn't even know I went through, except for the tall person I am dragging behind me who doesn't fit quite as well!

can a tall girl add her 2 cents in?

you guys have entire sections in department stores and entire stand alone stores devoted to you.

it's called the petite section.

where is the 'tall girl with monkey arms' section?

Ummm, well, I'm not this short. I'll back out of this slowly. :D

Well, I do have to climb on things to reach the top shelves, or change lightbulbs. But when my daughter is here, I ask her. lol

It saved me from getting hurt in an accident
Tall guys lean down to talk to me...nice and close;)
I've been told by my dad's bartender friend that between my height (or lack of) and baby face I'll be carded for life. This was after she asked me if I was starting 6th grade when I was headed into junior year:rolleyes:

Try being a short girl with monkey arms!:p :teeth: I can't shop in the petite department for this exact reason!

I have to say..I agree with browneyes. Being short SUCKS...esp if you're like me and look like an overgrown hobbit. Short, fat legs, short fat arms, round pooh-shaped tummy...AND I can't reach anything. I hate being short!

I love being short!

I too love being wrapped in my guy's embraces! I'm 5'3", he's 6'2" it works out great!

I don't have to mend capri's either, they just look like regular pants on me, bummer for finding capris that look right though. :p And ... I don't have to worry that mini skirts will show too much ... most start just at the top of my knee. :p

I have one of those grasper things to get stuff down off of the shelves with. You know what I'm talking about?

I can only think of one disadvantage of being short ... moving the car seat up, way up, so my feet touch the peddles ... then I'm almost on top of the steering wheel and dash board, not good in case of an accident. :earseek: And my tiny little car actually does go "beep beep beep". :p

I thought of another (sorry for you people with long arms) but in the winter time you can pull your sweat pants down over your feet and your sweat shirts or sweaters over your hands while you're watching tv to stay snuggley warm! :p

I like being short. Short is cute! Also, no guy was ever "too short" for me to date.

The only reason I'd choose to be taller is so that I could eat more (when you're little, it doesn't take many calories to fuel the body!). One good thing, though, if I lose a pound or two, it's noticeable right away.

I'm only 5'0" (and that's pushing it :p ), but I've never minded it a bit. I think it makes me unique.

I'm not short! I'm verically challenged!!:teeth: Have you seen all the new petite clothes lines lately? Awesome! I have capri's that fit like capri's! The only problem I'm having is ds (9) is VERY close to catching up to me! I don't like that!

I always liked men who were taller than I am--no problem with that!

I bought a suit for an interview recently, and it had "3/4" sleeves that were just long enough for me! :)

Saffron, I'm 5'3" too and my DH is 6'2". He gives me the BEST hugs!

There are a lot of tall people in this discussion...(LOL) because when you are only 4' 8" tall 5' 2" is tall!!!! I wish the petite section would be a place to shop but they seem to think that if you are short you also don't weigh a lot...I wish. The only thing that I am happy about is that people don't guess my age very well. I am the grandmother of 2 (a 3rd might be coming in March) but most people think I am in my mid 30's. That's kindof nice. I think if I lost the weight I would really look young as my skin is pretty good for someone of my age.
