Guess the nights are getting a bit chilly.....it was 58 in the house when we woke up....man was it freezing!!! Could barely get the kids out of bed!!!...Let alone, myself!!!

Plus, I guess it would be a good idea to "test" it too....since our boiler is 45 years old and DH noticed a rusted hole on the top of it last night while cleaning out the area for a new hot water tank:eek: ...(that's another story!!)

My fish tank was freezing too....almost at 60!! Luckily, I had a spare heater for it on hand...now I have to stay up to monitor it right....

Hope everyone is staying warm!!!

thankfully I put my furnace on last night before I went to bed. I Only had it set at 64 tho and I did hear it click on once during the night. brrrrrrrr a bit nippy this morning! Makes for a chilly wait at the kids bus stop!

58 in the house?? You better get that boiler for a test drive soon!!
We have had ours on for a week now , we always turn it on for testing first because I hate when something doesn't work and it's cold, I have electric heat as a back up but I don't use it unless I have to.

It's funny, my heat came on when I saw your thread. :)

38 outside, and 62 in the house.....and the furnace isn't working.....brrrrrr...

YIKES!!!! I have my heat set at 65 for the night and it is cold when I have to get out of bed...I can't imagine 58!!!!!!
Get that furnace crankin'!!;)

Snowwark....you gotta get that fixed! I mean YIKES!again!

I haven't turned my furnace on yet...It was in the 40's outside this morning, but the temp on my thermostat says 70, so I'm not touching it. My feet are cold, but thats because I hate to wear socks!!!

That's why I'm sitting here with an afghan over my lap and my jacket on. My office is soooooo cold.

mines been on for a few days too!! Really smells like fall in Mass. The leaves are getting pretty too:D

Snow shall be hitting Ohio tomorrow.

Elaine has had the heat on already.:p

Needs to be 40 inside the house before I turn on the heat.:D

Quit picking on me you twit! If I didn't turn on the heat at night, we'd wake up to temps in the low 60s and that is too cold for me to sleep in. Plus if the heat isn't on, the cats will want to sleep on you... and you don't want that now do you :p

Kitty catapults? :teeth:

I tested our furnace the other day and it works fine, but I'm not turning it on until November unless it gets down below 60 in the house. So far, it's 62 :) I wonder if I can make it to November without turning it on.

I hope all you Michigan Disers have given in and turned the furnace on! My Dh likes to save money, but I like to be warm! He gave in to the heat being on a few days ago. We're happy so far with 68 during the day and turning it down to 64 at night.:D

I broke down and turned it on earlier...but just to 63.....I am a cheapskate I guess!!! I don't like it too hot anyway. It feels alot better in here now.
