Think I have a chance??

We have our cabin assigned already...Deck 6. I was thinking about requesting Deck 5 since now I know that's where the kids clubs are and I'd like my boys to have the easiest way there.

What do you think my chances are of getting a Cat. 6 on Deck 5 now? We're on the 5/15 Eastern. I'd have to call my TA and ask them to note the request on my reservation, right?

I have the exact same question! and for the exact same reason! I asked my TA who then contacted Disney, I am currently "wait list" for deck 5. I am not sure this will work....so I am curious about the replies you get.

I'm going to call my TA tomorrow and see if I can get wait listed also. When are you cruising? If I cruise before you I'll let you know if it worked.

It depends on the number in your party. All Cat 6's on Deck 5 only accommodate 3 people.

We were on Deck 6 aft and it was wonderful. A quick run up the steps - the kids clubs are quite a ways down the hall as the entrances overlook the atrium - and we were there. Plus we were really close to the restaurants as well.

Okay..I called my TA. She called DCL and was told that our cruise is all sold out and she couldn't change my cabin, but she will make a note of my request on the reservation.

If the cruise was all sold out in my category (6) even, would they still have it listed on DCL.com? I just checked and they're still taking reservations for that category. Strange.

At least I have it on my reservation now...maybe we'll get it.

where are you on Deck 6? We were in 6556 and the clubs couldn't have been more convenient - out the door, down one flight of stairs and we were there. If you're far forward on 5, it would be a much longer walk.

One floor up/down doesn't make much difference at all. Now last year we were aft Deck 9 and it was a long hike to the clubs; the kids were so excited each time that they flew up the stairs tho! And coming home after hours, it was easy to carry them down the stairs!

We're mid ship..I'd like it just a little closer to the aft stairs. See..that's what happens when you read these boards, you get all this information!! When I picked the cabin last year, it was really just a random pick. I'm fine with our cabin and location, but if I can get a cabin further back that'd be nice too.

Deck 6 midship sounds great! One quick flight of steps down and your at the kids Clubs. We were deck 6 forward and thought it was convenient. Deck 6 midship would be even better. You'll enjoy the location.
