Anything I want to say on a thread I usually say. If I can't be a responsible adult and make my point without resorting to sarcasm, name-calling, put-downs and snark in general, then I either need to work on my education and mentality or I need to back away from the bulletin boards.
This is not directed at one person specifically ...
Please. Please! It is not would OF or could OF or should OF. Does that even make sense? No. It's would've, could've, should've. As in I should've ( should have) said something sooner.
"Your" does not, and has never, equaled "you are". "You're" means "you are"; "your" is possessive - "You're going to fully expose your ignorance of the English language if you keep misusing the apostrophe."
Similiarly, an apostrophe does not make a word plural. Most of the time, to make a word plural, you can just add an "s" - boy/boys NOT boy/boy's.
Your misguided sense of entitlement does not make you right.
I feel sorry for your kid's teachers.
Lighten up! Not everything is a source of debate. Learn to laugh at life a little more! Stop taking offense at everything!
Oh. I have a coworker who wants to name her child Nevaeh which is Heaven spelled backward. I am not judging people on what they want to name their children but please. This child will never have her name pronounced correctly, no one will ever spell it right. She likes all things modern so I think when it comes up again I will say it sounds great, so old fashioned, like something my great aunt would have been named.
