Things you NEED in the parks

Just curious. Many are mentioning ID or a Driver's License. What do you use this for?
Some of us are eligible for merchandise or dining discounts because of DVC membership or having an Annual Pass. The ID is needed at the point of sale to prove you are really you. Also, as a PP noted its always good to have some identification on you in case of emergencies.

Our next trip will be our first in years without a kid in diapers or pull-ups, so we won't be using a stroller/pack mule. We'll still have a bag with ponchos, a battery charger, a few snacks and a small first aid kit. I always have my wallet and phone and a few other small items I carry in my pocket -- flashlight, nail clippers, pen, lighter, and a small multitool.

I can't imagine going anywhere without some form of ID.

I usually bring a small bag with me into the parks to carry what I deem as essentials:
-sunblock
-snacks (typically something small so if I, or anyone whose with me, gets hungry but doesn't feel like buying anything or wants something slightly healthier :P)
-refillable water bottle (in case you were unaware or if no one has brought it up, you can get free cups of water at counter service locations.)
-an umbrella or poncho
-hand sanitizer
- a sweatshirt or light coat as some restaurants can be colder than others

Hope any of this helps! :)

Curious for people who bring all this kind of stuff - do you bring all this is you go to your local beach, mall, zoo for the day too? or is it just theme parks?

First it's just a couple of snack size zip lock bags, but yes for any where I'm going to be there all day and have limited access to the outside world.

Works great if you are a guy but women's cargo shorts are a joke. The pockets are so shallow you can't even fit a cell phone in.

Found this out a while ago when DW wore her new cargo shorts, while I had mine. Unfortunately, she also noticed how much additional storage space I had on mine that I wasn't using. Long story short, I've now become a "human purse" and need a tighter belt to keep them on.

Yep, DS is my human purse. It's payback for the years when going to the movies/restaurants/mall/games of Mom, put this in your purse.
