Things you don't like about your car

Keep in mind that I think all manufacturers list them as ventilated (or similar) rather than cooling seats. The heater aspect of heated seats actually have a heating element in seat and back but for the other, all, or most, have a circulating fan in the seat to circulate air in the seat and back, not an actual cooler in the seat. If the air in the car has been cooled enough with the AC, then the circulated air will feel a bit cool. Otherwise not.
Most manufacturers actually pull air downwards through the seat, not blow it on you. I assume that is the reason for the "ventilated" language in official documents.

Bonus info: Porsche is the only brand I know of that lets you run the heated elements simultaneously with the "cooled" seats. No idea why but it's an interesting quirk.

Love my 2022 Hyundai Kona. (No recall on this model).
Only thing that annoys me is the recycled air comes out warm. Always. Have to put on air conditioning for a few seconds to get it back to normal air.

It’s black & white and daughter called it “Panda”, so at Epcot China we bought 2 small pandas to sit in the cup holders in the back seat. So cute.

We love our 2019 Mazda CX5 with two exceptions. There is no back up obstruction beep, (we have a back up camera, but no beep) and the clock likes to run fast. We keep resetting the clock, but it returns to the wrong time. It's currently running 12 minutes fast, which makes no sense at all. Shouldn't it sync with our phones?

I had to come back and edit! Now I only have ONE issue with my car. Since I was thinking about it, I tried again to reset the clock and finally noticed the GPS Sync button was off. I clicked it on and viola!

2013 Mazda 5 (it's basically a small minivan) and really my only complaint is that it doesn't have a backup camera (but I do have sensors along the bumper so it beeps) which can be annoying when a massive truck or SUV invariably parks next to me 🤨😂 Which is why I like to back into a parking space if I'm able. Also it's standard which can be annoying when stuck in traffic (which again hardly ever happens so...) it's got low km's on it considering it's 10 years old and no major issues so I'm happy to keep it :)

OK makes sense, standard as in 'manual transmission' vs. something is 'standard' on that vehicle.

I own a 2018 VW Atlas with AWD. It has more than 100,000 miles on it and still drives great. The seats are comfy, the a/c works well, and it handles way better than my previous car, a Honda Odyssey, in the rain. The only problem is that the 2nd row has captain's chairs so stuff in the trunk slides forward and falls in the gap between the 2 chairs. My next car, a Landrover Defender 110 will have a bench seat. It's on a boat coming here and should arrive by the end of the month. We're giving my car to my mom because her current car, my old Odyssey, is in really rough shape and it would cost more than it's worth to fix it.

Nissan Altima, I did not realize until seeing online that there was such a social stigma attached.
I have one and have had no issues with it and the seat is so comfortable, which is what made me want it so badly for my back pain. But I have not seen issues like they speak of on the internet about them and their drivers. I don't understand. :sad2:

2016 Acura MDX.

I do not love this MDX like I did our previous version (2002).

I don’t like the angle of back window, it creates a slight obstruction to my blind spot - even though we now have the sensors to beep if there is a vehicle there (don’t trust sensor), I always look.

The transmission is now a known issue and although I’ve never had serious problems *knock on wood* I don’t like the way it shifts from first to second gear, it’s abrupt at times.

I don’t dislike the car, but I am not a huge fan of it either. It was going to be hard to beat the 2002, that was my favorite car I ever had.

I don’t like that my car doesn’t fly yet … outside of that I usually don’t buy cars that I don’t like … so can’t think of anything else …

My husband has a 2014 Acura MDX. It was not shifting well between first and second gear. Took it in and had the transmission fluid changed - issue totally went away. Drives like new again. Maybe give that a try if you haven’t already.

2016 was a new year for this transmission, and it is known issue. 🙁

They did do an adjustment on a routine visit a while back, and it did get better for a while. However, it’s not the smooth shift it should be.

I’m glad your husband’s car shifts smoothly after the fluid change! Wish that would work for mine. 😉
