Things you do when solo

1. I take my sweet time walking down Main Street USA. I take my time looking at all of the windows on the upper floors to see what they say. I also look for things I missed before (like a door that I do the same thing at the Magic Kingdom that says "Magic Kingdom Casting Agency"). Also, if you go into one of the little area off of Main Street, you can hear people getting dancing and singing lessons.

2. Ride the Haunted Mansion at least 50 times during my trip!! LOVE this attraction!!!

3. Ride Test Track several times in a row. Got to love that single rider line.

4. Dine at some of the nicer sit-down restaurants.

5. Take my time wandering around World Showcase and look at all of the nooks & cranies.

6. I also like riding the Main Street Railroad around a few times without getting off. Just a nice relaxing ride.

7. Having a freshly baked ice cream cookie sandwich at the Sleepy Hollow, then grabbing a rocker next door to it and chilling.

8. Renting a water mouse and racing around the two lagoons at the Magic Kingdom.

9. Strolling around the various resorts and looking at all the little details that each one has.

10. Watching the Jammitors a few times at EPCOT. LOVE THESE GUYS!!

11. Just taking time to absorb all that WDW has to offer that I may miss by just focusing on just the attractions.[/COLOR][/B]

Great ideas! Thank you.

I've gone solo 3 times and the park commando ALWAYS takes over at some point. It's my curse.

I'm so torn -- step back and inhale the delicious details? Or put on my sneakers and run from attraction to attraction?

Ditto about riding your fav rides over and over again. I love that. My favs are Peter Pan's Flight and Soarin'.

Sitting at the bench across from Splash Mountain and watching the people coming down the flume at the last drop.

Being able to finish up by mid-afternoon and go back to the resort (I am at POR), and take a nap all by myself.

Getting up in the middle of the night, and slipping over to the pool and dangling my feet in the water.

Eating at the bar at the Rainforest Cafe and meeting so many people from all over the country, who are waiting for their tables in the restaurant.

Having dessert at the California Grill while the fireworks are going off at MK.

Seeing how many states/countries I can find on CMs' name tags at Epcot.

Sitting at the Rose and Crown Pub on the patio during the fireworks at Epcot.

Having snacks at the Lounge in the WL, then walking around the pool area, taking the boat back to MK, take the bus to DTD, and then the water taxi back to POR.

Getting to see John and Stacey every year at the POR lounge - great servers!

I bought Lou Mongello's walking tours on mp3 of Main Street USA and Adventureland (the others aren't out yet). When I go solo I plan on popping them on my ipod and slowly wandering both areas and taking in all the details that Lou talks about.

I've been dying to go solo. I'm HOPING that I can at least spend a few solo days when I go for the marathon in january. My friend is a teacher and I'm secretly crossing my fingers that she won't be able to stay for a few days after the race. :)

That's a great idea! I just recently discovered Lou's podcasts and I really enjoy them.
