Hi Everyone!
In a few weeks I'm going to Disney for the opening of the Food and Wine Fest (yum!) and to appease my conscience (if not my waistline) I'll be running the Family Fun Run 5K...anyway, back to the point. Usually at Disney I'm all about Signature Dining and Gourmet meals, this time around I'm feeling more "flip flops and margaritas" than Goat Cheese and Cabernet...so, I am not making ADRs ...and I want to see what I've missed, on the counter service and snacking scene...What should be on my eating agenda? So far, Dole Whips (of course), Turkey Legs from the cart in the MK, Grand Marnier Floats, School Bread with Viking Coffee...What else everyone? What are your favorite snacks, drinks, and goodies at Disney? Thanks!! I will appreciate ANY and all suggestions! Of course I also plan to eat and drink my way through the Food and Wine Fest, it'll be my first time there for it, I'm SO excited!!!

I'm a huge fan of the cream cheesed pretzels at tomorrowland in MK and the jalapeno soft pretzels in animal kingdom.

also I think the sugar cookies are amazing

Cinnamon roll and an ice cream sandwich from Main Street Bakery
Beignets from POFQ food court
Strawberry shortcake and creme brulee from Sunshine Seasons - Epcot
Tonga toast - Capt Cooks
Creme brulee - Chefs de France
XFusion lemonade or Midori Sours - any bar or lounge
French Toast - WPE DTD

I gotta tell ya, I LOVE the pretzels in Germany. I know, I know.....they are probably the same in all the parks, but there is something about those there that are the best!!

The pithivier pastry at Boulangerie Patisserie, France. It is a to-die-for almond paste-like pastry. The South American wines at F&W are great to try.

MK-Sleepy Hollow's chocolate chip ice cream sandwhich cookie

At the Backlot Express at DHS, you have to try this sandwich, it does not get much attention on this board, but it is by far the BEST turkey sandwich I have ever eaten..

Grilled Turkey & Cheese - with arugula and red peppers served with French fries or carrot sticks $8.69

:santa::santa::santa:

Enough goodies for you? And I wonder how I gained 7 pounds in July on our 10-night trip! :lmao:

Thanks for the suggestions, everything sounds fantastic! I am looking forward to trying them all...

You need to try Ohana the food is amazing and the roasted almonds at mk by tea cups.

Inside the Mexico pavilion to your right as you enter...La Cava del Tequila!

Margaritas of all kinds, and tapas. They don't take ADRs and it's a great place for a light lunch (it gets busier later in the day and it's harder to find a place to sit). The avocado margarita is magnificent! Skip the frozen margaritas at the stand outside and go for the good stuff inside instead.

Trust me.

Popcorn from MK. There is just something about it. It's like crack for me :)

We're all about the BoardWalk, sooo, the pasteries, cheesecake is my favorite, at the bakery there, a great spicy Bloody Mary in the Bell Vue Lounge, reasonably priced as of last Oct, and the ESPN Club has a great nacho platter and plenty of cold beer, but do try a micro-brew at Big River.

Love all the adult beverage suggestions...will totally try all of them, maybe not the same day! Thanks guys!

Not mentioned yet, but at DHS Starring Roles Cafe, you have to try the Butterfinger Cupcake, it is huge and delicious! They have some other outstanding desserts as well.

La Cava del Tequila - Spicy Shrimp Cocktail. Anejo Tequila - make sure you try the shots. They come with a shot of Sangrita a spicy tomato drink.

Starring Roles in DHS - Did not really like the Butterfinger cupcake - not enough cake. The others were great though. The Black Forest ham sandwich they have is also very good.

Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese salad at Sunshine Seasons
Desserts at Sunshine Seasons

Strawberry and Cream Smoothie at Main Street Bakery

Maytag Martini at Blue Zoo
The Lapu Lapu at the Poly

Sushi at Kimonos in the Swan (the spicy crawfish role is very good and unique)

Chocolate Cake and Fisherman’s pie at the Ireland booth
