I saw a list like this on the tips board WDW and thought it might give some inspiration to those that are worried about going over Spring Breat. I did WDW last year at Easter and doing DL this year at the same time.

So come on me give me your best no queue ideas.

Check out the street entertainers. They're usually on the schedule you can pick up as you enter the parks. My faves are Farley the Fiddler and Laughing Stock in Frontierland (they're friends of mine, which is part of why I like to see them). There's also some good stuff in New Orleans Square. I particularly like the Delta Daddy-O's, though I haven't seen them on the schedule lately. Don't know if that means they're not there or just not on the schedule as I haven't seen them for awhile.

search for all of the 50th anniversary signs, look for hidden Mickeys, people watch with catagories.....worst footwear etc.

I come from a family that wants to do nothing but ride rides, so I miss out on a lot of the entertainment. I think my mom is more with me on seeing performances, but my sister probably has a much shorter attention span than me. She sits through a parade or show once and that's it, off to do rides and hope there's not a long wait. Me, on the other hand, I like to stop and watch a street show or greet a character that I haven't met. I guess one suggestion would be just to walk around and see who or what you run into. Almost every time we go up there, something fun and different happens, and it's without standing in line for an attraction!

Brina we are probably the exact opposite, we could go and rather not go on a single ride than miss the shows, parades and characters. Though we wouldn't queue for a long time for those now, unless it was somebody rare! Before I get jumped on by all the ride enthusiasts, I would like to add we do go on rides though.

Just over 5 weeks until we are in Disneyland. Woo hoo :Pinkbounc  :cheer2:

Check out the Main Street Cinema & the Firehouse.

The Firehouse as a vintage Fire Engine and small stable exhibit that's quite interesting.

The Cinema shows on 4 small screens vintage Disney cartoons. You might even catch an Oswald the Rabbit cartoon there now.

In DCA, the Animation building shows clips from the recent animated Disney films. They also have a very enjoyable musical performance just outside the front door.

Feed the Koi in the morning at DL Hotel.
Walk thru the paths by the waterfalls at DL Hotel.
Sit by the outdoor fireplace at the Grand in the early am and enjoy a hot chocolate (exit the lobby thru the doors near the big fireplace).

See the Golden Dreams show in DCA
Do the factory tours in DCA (bonus: free tortilla- yum!)
See the Seasons of the Vine show in DCA-- never a full crowd and it's kinda neat to watch how grapes become wine.
Watch the complete set of clips in Animation building.

Go to Toontown after the area is cleared for safety (after fireworks when the park is open until midnight). Very short line to see Mickey at his house- no line for Roger Rabbit ride.
Walk the stairs up to the Gallery.. I never knew about this on our first trips, now it's a must do!
Minimal wait for the show in the Opera House on Main St. -- the movie is interesting and it's cool to see the imagineering stuff.
Cool down in the air conditioned Main Street theater, very quiewt in there- I see people take naps on the dias stage in there LOL.
Sit on the porch on Main St and peole watch/eat icecream.
Listen to the party line phones in the coffee shop on Main Street.
Listen to the conversations from the windows by the lockers.. piano tutor and a dentist at work
Listen under the windows in New Orleasn Square- back by the bathrooms.
Play with the machines in the Penny Arcade- I love the band in the box!
Listen to the piano players at Coke Corner (share a chili footlong)
Have the kids make cookies -- fun and not many partcipate.
Children can take a pin trader class at the pin shop in TL (not sure if they still do this, my boys did it and recvd two free pins for trading).
Ride the train for a "grand circle tour"

Here's some more that may be "line less" experiences

The general store on the east side of Main Street. Sneak over to a few OLD fashion telephones and listen to a party line conversation. (How many of you remember those)? In the same area is a sound bite of a piano teacher, a dentist and i believe someone sleeping. :cool2:

Thanks for all these replies, I must print them all off before I go, that is a great link to Laughing place/

See, I wish they were more like me because I do like to see and experience other things than just rides. I know the rides by heart, what I don't know is the little special secrets hiding around every corner. Hidden Mickey hunting is fun to do. In fact, while waiting in line to get into DL, I spotted some pink roses in a bush forming Mickey heads. It's the bushes along the Monorail structure. I took a picture of it!

We must definitely spend more time looking for hidden mickeys that sounds good. I didn't really think about it in Florida
