Things to do near Radisson?

We've never been to Port Canaveral area. Considering staying at the Radisson. Are there things to do within walking distance of the radisson or would we definitely need a rental car?

We will find out in Dec.
According to Dave's handy dandy map the 'Race Trac' and 'Jungle Village' are within walking distance. Has anyone used their entertainment? Is it something the grands would enjoy? Other options for eating near by are 'Kelsey's' and 'Zachary's' (menus look appetizing). At last resort there is a 'Mickey D's' across the street.

We chose to stay at the Radisson last June and will do the same next June when we cruise...we rented a car at the airport and drove to the Radisson (very easy drive)..there is an Avis right at the hotel, so you can return your car there and take the Radisson shuttle to the port, or Avis also has one. We enjoyed the freedom of being able to drive around..took the kids to Ron Jons Surf Shop, made a trip to a local grocery for beer to take on the cruise and also hit a drug store for a few items we forgot. We did eat next door at Kelsey's which was very good..we think next time we will try Grills, which we have read so many good things about on this board. The pool at the Radisson is really nice and the kids loved it! You could really just hang at the pool all day and eat at the restaurant at the hotel, or walk next door to eat if you chose not to get a car...having a vehicle just worked out better for us.
