We have two kids (5 and 3) and are spending 5 days at BCV next week. I will be on a working holiday so can only do 2 days in the Parks with the Kids.

DW is understandably unhappy to brave the parks alone with 2 kids, mainly as it tends to be an all day experience.

Are there any special tips or places to go to in WDW that people use to entertain the kids. We will be at BC so SAB will be a good start for a distraction.

DD has Lego but are there playgrounds within the resorts.

Thanks in advance

You might suggest she check out Sea World. I was working in Orlando for a week a few years ago when DH and the four kidlets went along. We discovered that you could get an annual pass for Sea World for slightly more than a day pass and a two year pass for not much more. We bought the two year passes and DH and the kids went over for a while every morning. When they got tired or hungry, they left. It was a small investment for a lot of fun, and we visited a couple of more times before the passes ran out.

Disney Annual Passes would also be an option (though more pricey). If you will be back for at least another vacation within the year, the passes are hard to beat. That gives the family more options to go for just a little while without feeling guilty about using a day pass. Also lets you all go to Epcot for dinner or to the parks for the evening fireworks after you finish working. Or a Water Park Only pass might be another option, though it might be difficult for DW to keep up with both kids with them being so little.

I'm sure there are playgrounds. We visited the one at the Caribbean Resort several years ago and it was as nicely done as Disney does everything else.

DW will have a great time. My kids happily kill a morning at the Lego store any time we allow it. Also, the toy shop on the other end (the name escapes me at the moment) is fun. Besides looking at all the toys, we had fun collecting a box of Disney Mr Potato Head parts. We bought a box for the kids and a box for the preschool my son just left.

I would at least consider your wife doing the parks with your children. As long as they are fairly well behaved, she should be fine. If does not have to be an all day experence. They can spend the morning at one of the parks and return to the resort for lunch and a nap or rest. If she chooses not to go into the parks, Fort Wilderness might be fun for a day. They have a small playground, a petting zoo and a really good buffet lunch. DD has a really nice play ground and use to have a few small kiddie rides. I think ALL resort have some type playground but I have never stayed at BC so I am not sure.
Good luck to your wife.

Fort Wilderness is an excellent suggestion. I didn't think of that. You might also consider the Hoop-Dee-Doo Review if your youngest likes that sort of thing. I know my 5yo would LOVE it!
