We are only planning to go to the parks on 2 days this year and spend the other 4 days enjoying the fort and other Disney areas. We are regular visitors to the fort and plan to hit all the fun stuff there. Any suggestions on non-park related activities? We will definitely hit DTD. Looking for things on Disney property that can be reached with Disney transportation. Freebies are preferred :).

We always like the Boardwalk, especially at night. A couple of buses needed to get there but it is doable on Disney transportation.

DW and I honeymooned at WDW in '73 and have enjoyed returning each year since. Therefore we do not need to do parks on each visit. We really enjoy visiting resorts during the day, a toddy at their pool bar and perhaps lunch while the crowds are away. However, the real fun is at Ft. Wilderness, golf cart riding, swimming, Crocketts tavern, the trading posts, you name it. My favorite ride is the water taxi between the fort, contemporary and wilderness lodge. That is a must do for us upon arrival as well as giddyup and go at Crocketts. I'm sure others will add more, these are just a few to pursue.

If you want some adventure, try the Launch from the Fort to MK, then the ferry to the TTC, then the monorail to EPCOT, then the boat to the Boardwalk.

yeah, but they would need park admission for that one....

No ticket needed, you do not go in the parks at all, other riding over EPCOT. Sounds like a fun trip!

If you took the monorail to EPCOT you would be at the front of the park.
The boat launch from EPCOT to the Boardwalk is at the back of the park.

How would you get from point A to point B without a ticket?

Am I missing something?

Well, if you ask really nice.... they usually let you walk through the course if its not too busy.... there are 2 sides and we missed one, mainly because we had so much fun goofing around. This is one of the coolest places to take pictures if your kids are 4-9 or so.... you'll see why!

We enjoy resort hopping and checking out the shops at each. At AKL you can look at the animals also.

I definitely plan to do the Boardwalk. We have been to Disney several times and never been.

I agree with nu2dvc- are we missing something here? How do you walk from Epcot to Boardwalk without going through the park?

If you like ice cream, check out Beaches and Cream at the Yacht and Beach Club! That place is great for a mid day snack!

We LOVE the boardwalk.... We usually make a trip outta it by busing to HS and then taking the boat just before the entrance thru to the Boardwalk, yacht club area..... The bakery at the boardwalk while sitting outside is awesome and relaxing. You can then ride the same boat to Epcot but can't get in without a ticket.... We usually ride it back to HS and bus back to the Fort.

No, you are not missing anything, I was, forgot there was not a walk area on the outside from the front to back.
