WOW!! you are planning on living a long time!!:teeth:

If I can ever tear myself away from Disney World, I would love to spend some time shopping in New York. Another conversation my DH and I have is when the kids have 'grown up' (if ever) then we would like to watch Formula 1 racing around the world, especially at Indianapolis.

Thats a great idea mandymouse- going to a grand prix would be amazing- especially at a place like monaco where you can get so close to the cars. Of course it would have to be the weekend of a McLaren victory for me ! :D :moped: (Well thats the closest smiley to a car!)

Sorry who are McLaren SplashMtn ? Oh yeah, they're the people that my hero Michael Schumacher keeps beating - LOL !!!

mandymouse:earsgirl:

Sorry SplashMtn I will probably like them when they get rid of that loser David Coulthard. My British hero is Jenson Button (and what a great season he's having !)

Thats okay mandymouse!- To be honest I think David Coulthard has overstayed his welcome too, with Kimi proving this by completely out performing him over the past two or three seasons. Kimi Raikonnen will be champion one day though with McLaren, as long as Ferrari dont bully their way into signing him- so based on that logic I want Michael Schumacher to stay as long as possible....hmmmm!!

Anyway SidB, sorry for taking this erm, slightly off topic!

:earseek:

Raikonnen and McLaren for the championship in 2005 though! :hyper:

No problem, F1 is my second favourite subject (after travel). I'd dearly love to spend a year following the F1 circus around the world, but it's the cost. Think about the number of things on my list I could achieve.

Anyhow, back to F1. Personally I wish MS would retire ands give the rest a chance. I know all of the arguments, but the bottom line is that Ferrari are in a league of their own, which is making some GP's tedious. Just think about how good the last GP was. I reckon Ferrari got 75% of the coverage, so fans of the other teams are losing out. Also, if Ferrari are getting so much coverage the sponsors of the smaller teams aren't getting the exposure needed to ensure they stay with the sport. Every GP that MS/Ferrari dominates is another nail in the coffin of F1. Unless something happens soon, some of the smaller teams will disappear. Where would we be without Minardi ? How many of the current drivers started their F1 careers with them.

So who's going to win next year ? MS no doubt. Should we exclude him from the equation, then it's not an easy question to answer. I reckon McLaren will push Ferrari for the team championship. I think Ron Dennis has made a mistake pairing Kimi and Juan. They will take points from each other, and do nothing for the image of the team. I'd much rather see Alonso alongside Kimi. Jenson Button is overated in my opinion. Just look at what Sato is achieving, and he's not exactly the best of the rest. If they put JB in with Mark Webber we'll see exactly who's the better driver. My money's on Webber.

I'd love to see Williams do well. When you look at the achievements of Frank and Patrick Head you've got to admire them. They're racers through and through. A tight fight netween Williams and McLaren would be a chot in the arm for F1.

Who'd I like to see as the World Champion next year ? Mark Webber.

This has sort of taken over the thread, so how about some other suggestions for what would be on your lists of things to do before you die.

Wow Sid - some fabulous things on that list :) I am curious to know which ones you have achieved. How about the 'Dress up as a penguin or Dye my hair green'

I don't have a list but perhaps I should - do you find yourself striving to achieve these or wait and just see 'if it happens'

:)

you can come and visit us at the rockie mountains, if we ever manage to emmigrate there!!
Jeanette:wave:

Jeanette.....I am intrigued! Can you tell us more about why you fancy the Rockies?

Me, I think I am very boring but I don't really have any aspirations to do things beore I die. I'm just happy to do things as and when they come along. Not sure if that makes me very sad or just content with my life as it is :)

I guess buying another 50 DVC points before I die doesn't count ;)??

I would like to be one of the dolls that sit on top of the round balls in the SpectroMagic parade. When I see that part of the parade I always get a lump in my throat - but do not know why!

well we have all the forms, just need to somehow get some more points :(
Jeanette:wave:

Out of nosiness what gains you points (apart form being a lumberjack, bear tamer or beaver handler)?

you need 67 points minimum
you gain points on education more if you have a degree...which we ain't got:(
get points for your age, if you can speak french
if you have a job:(
etc etc.
we have 59 points
dh is a supervisor floor-layer well qualified 17yrs same job loads of certificates as well.
we just want to have a better life for our selves and the kids even though they are now aged between 20 and 13yrs.
alberta is where we fancy (calgary) but we would go anywhere if we had the chance to.
Jeanette
p.s. wish us luck!!

I'd like to live long enough to see my 3 children 17, 14 & 8 grow up to be happy and love life - as much as I do.
