Things to do at Disney World (that we may not have thought of!)

Hi,

My fiancée and I are heading to Disney World, Florida from the UK for our honeymoon this September. We have already been as kids a few times and together once before.

I want to start looking for things to do whilst there that we might not have done before but have no idea where to start!

All I can think of is maybe some kind of 'behind the scenes' tour and other people have suggested Discovery Cove but we've done the whole swimming with dolphins things elsewhere.

I realise all this info is out there somewhere but like I say I'm not sure where to start so I'm hoping a few suggestions can get me on the right track.

Firstly, to the DIS. I'm not sure if you're aware but there is a dedicated UK trip Planning board, which may help with some of the more specific questions for UK-based travelleres that you may have.

In the meantime, as far as extras, there is so much to do at WDW. Even after several trips, we still find new things to see and experience each time we return.

Have you considered La Nouba at Downtown Disney? An awesome show, particularly if you are a fan of Cirque Du Soleil.

As you mentioned, there are several backstage tours that you can do. Personally, we like the Segway tour which is run at Fort Wilderness. It's a lot of fun.

There are also lots of things which are free, depending what time of year you are travelling and where you are staying. A lot of the resorts have movies by the pool in the aftenroons and evenings. During the special events, such as the Flower and Garden Festival and the Food and Wine Festival, there are a series of free concerts held at Epcot. The Food and Wine Festival begins at the end of September so, depending on your actual travel dates, you may be there for the beginning of it.
