Things to do at animal kingdom?

If you're staying at AKL and want to splurge, I highly recommend the Wanyama Safari. It's a 90-minute tour (limited to 12) of the AKL safaris and then dinner at Jiko. It's price (~$200 per person), but an amazing experience.

I'd also recommend going and checking out the night vision goggles. It's a pretty cool experience.

Here is the activities sheet for June at AKL. I posted it in another thread but didn't bookmark it.
Also, I also recommend the Wanyama Safari Tour. Had a great time, a great dinner, and met folks in my group that I speak with regularly now.
(oh and it was $180. per person including dinner and the safari)

We're actually staying at kidani village. Does that make a difference? We're new DVC members trying to plan our vacation in a few weeks. Thank you.

There are alot of things to do there ... they have all sorts of tours of the grounds and Scavenger hunts for the kids. If your pool people and like to play games they have a great staff that pretty much does stuff all day long..

We are not club level members so we aren't able to participate in the wanyama and sunrise safaris. Any other safaris besides that one and the sunrise?

Wanyama is not limited to club level guests; anyone staying at AKL is eligible. :goodvibes

They also have a nighttime safari on the Sunset Savanna. Leaves at 10pm from Kidani, $70 per person, lasts an hour. Everyone is given night vision goggles to use. Runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Call the Animal Kingdom Lodge Itinerary Planning Office at 407-938-4755 for more info and to book.

We called about 2 weeks ago to book for our trip at Thanksgiving. Good Luck!
