Hey everyone,
If you are looking for something out of the ordinary to do before or after your cruise, check out www.blueheronadventures.com . A very good friend of mine, Jerry Smith, owns this company which gives 3 hour kayak tours on the Indian River. Jerry takes pride in teaching all of his guests about the area, and local wildlife. He takes the personal approach in all of his tours, so he limits the group to 11 guests. The price is extremely reasonable--he only charges $30/person and that includes bottled water, and sun screen. He'll even loan you binoculars, polarized sunglasses (so you can see the fish, turtles, manatees, dolphins, etc.), towels, and a hat if you need one!
He's rebuilding the website, but the pictures link still works. Go to pictures, and click on manatees--tell me that's not the coolest thing! To book your tour, call him at 321 799-3740. If he's not there leave a message or email me, and I'll get the info to him.
