Things that make you go hmmmmm

I am on team "let's find out if it's an accident or intentional." I sent out several wedding invitations that were not received by relatives, AND were not sent back to me as an incorrect address. Never knew they didn't arrive and to this day cannot figure out how about 10 of my invitations went into some postal black hole. The relatives assumed they weren't invited and were hurt and upset, I assumed they were invited and just hadn't RSVP'd and didn't think anything of it. Our wedding was in my husband's hometown pretty far from most of my relatives, so I just assumed most of them weren't coming because it was a long trip and didn't pursue it or think anything of it. I didn't find out until after the wedding from a person who heard from a person who heard from a person that they all thought I was a jerk for not inviting so-and-so even though I invited everyone else and they were upset about it.

The worst one was the cousin who gave me a deal from his printing company on printing my wedding invitations. Horrifyingly, he's one who did not get his invitation and thought I was the tackiest bride ever for using him for a deal on invitations then not inviting him. I felt so horrible when I found out about that. I wish someone in his family had discreetly asked about the issue before the wedding, so that's what I recommend your family do in this case.
