Things I wish were in villa...

a real spoon in the studios. Thats all I want, we don't cook at all, but we do have breakfast every morning. I brought my own, along with a real cereal bowl. Nobody else cares in my family but me. I have to have a real spoon! I know, theres no dishwasher, but isn't there SOME way, we pay enough money!!

I'm with ya on that one! There are so many places there COULD be hooks! It is really hard to dry out towels without them. In a hotel I usually just let housekeeping take the wet ones, but here I don't feel the need to wash them every single day, maybe every other, and I just can't get them dry. I don't like the idea of putting them in the dryer unless they're newly washed, just the way I was raised.

Fox News and I tell them this on every after stay survey I get.

Funny.... I get 600 and some channels at home and Fox News (or as I prefer to call it El Bushira) is the only one I have intentionally blocked!

Voting for the decent cable stations too! DD10 and I were there last month and she got a stomache bug so we were in the room much more than usual. If I had to listen to Hannah Montanna or Suite Life any more I might have done something drastic! I did resort to going to the gift shop and purchase Ratouelle (sp?) because I couldn't take it anymore. I did look at what they had for rentals but I'd seen most of them 100 times over.

What channels are on the TVs? I hope you aren't saying it is just Disney channel...

:scared1:

..and er..yes, bring on Fox News.

I had never considered a crock pot but I love that one. Have they upgraded all the rooms yet with DVD players yet? I also dislike that there are not plastic/glass bowls for cereal, just those paper things. I bought several plastic ones at the dollar store and bring them on most trips. I'm starting to consider getting a locker would be a great way to store some of this stuff, could even bring some real flatware!

Terry

I doubt you will ever see a crock pot because of the risk of fire if someone ever forgets it on or if someone accidently puts in something that could ignite. I would love free wireless internet although free is free, even if you need to plug in to the wall. Does anyone know if this is free yet?

how about the FREE internet access we've been told we're getting?????

Evidently that is scheduled for the Spring. I thought it would be the first of this year, but found out that is not so on our January trip. I have since read it will be this spring. Not sure just when.

I would like to have a 2-quart pitcher to make crystal light lemonade.

I agree. I vote for more hooks to hang towels and nightshirts and so forth.

I agree with the 2-quart pitcher. But I have learned to over come it. I put two packets in a gallon jug of drinking water. I pick up 3 or 4 when we stop for groceries. I don't know if I would use the tap water for drinking anyway. But the pitcher would still be nice.

I Vote on this but for Mojito's

I would love to see an increase in hangers ( I always get more from mousekeeping). Also, a clothes drying rack (the kind that fold up). I always do laundry in our villa and you should see where I have to hang the clothes that can not go in the dryer. It would be a cheap investment that could be stored anywhere.

We keep a Brita water filter pitcher in our Owner's Locker, so we don't have to buy any water, I guess I may have to buy a cheap pitcher to keep in there also.
We also ship snacks, etc. so we don't have to make a trip to the grocery store.

The pitcher is on the list of what the kitchen should have (at least it was on the list last August). We stayed in a 2BR at SSR and had brought along crystal lite powder to make lemonade. We looked all over and couldn't find the pitcher. Finally we called Mousekeeping and they brought one to the villa a few hours later. :)

There is a small clear pitcher, maybe 1 qt. in the villas. When I called Housekeeping and asked for a pitcher to mix lemonade in, they brought me another one of the same thing. When I asked for something larger, they told me that was all that they kept and didn't have anything different. And we were at SSR. :confused3

Definitely more hooks, a stereo/cd player, a sleeper chair in the living room and yes, Fox News. Marie

To each his own. I have never been a huge fan of the Brita pitcher and the $99 a year I save (cost of Owner's Locker) can buy an awful lot of bottled water each year. Since we usually drive or have a rental car, making a trip to the grocery store is pretty easy. Then we get a chance to buy milk, juice, beer, etc., without paying the high prices at the resort. I guess if I did a lot of cooking in the room, an Owner's Locker would be a bigger benefit. It sounds like there are a lot of people here on the DIS that are using them.
