1. This board knows more than the Concierge at times; ask here first before leaving for your trip.
2. Take 2 cameras, in case your family splits up. You can still have pix of everything
3. If your kids are in the Club, Lab etc, dont expect to find any pictures taken of them by Shutters. They only do it on the decks. They do a fantastic job, but my kids liked being in the club during the days (5 y/o twins) so only pix I have of them are the family formal and the ones I took when together
4. Read the navigator thoroughly, I felt like things were happening that I didnt know about.
5. Shutters does pix with various backgrounds nightly (right before the 6 pm seating) so plan for long lines, go early and have fun with the options, BUT be considerate of others waiting and dont do a gazillion shots of every person in your family. Some kids have a hard time waiting and want to eat. Eating first is hard since you would have to worry about getting the clothes dirty before the photos.
6. Your room steward may not be fluent in your home language, be patient if you have concerns or problems.
7. If you arent happy with a decision; for example, at the Farewell show for the kids, the Club had some AWESOME pix in a slide show and I wanted a copy of it. They couldnt for some reason, and werent very helpful in getting me a copy of the photos of my DS and DD that were adorable. But the Concierge was able to get the Lab to show the presentation again for me on their lab TV so I could video tape it, not the best, but better than nothing!
8. Go to EVERY show even if the rest of your family is busy, you will miss a lot of fun if you dont.
9. Get the Hidden Mickey form from the Concierge on the first day, this is a great family activity as well as a good way to tour the ship, bring your camera. Also, the Concierge has the Answer Key.
If I think of more I will post again add yours to the list as well. I feel like I missed a lot and wasn't ready to leave!!
