Things I have never done at WDW and am determined to do this time!

I've always wanted to do a behind the scenes tour!! My hopes of becoming a Cast Member have stopped me from doing it. I always tell myself I want to experience it that way my first time. They sound so cool though!

I've heard they don't do the paint brushes anymore!

Really? We were going to look for one when we go to TSI. That sucks.

I could be wrong, but that's what I've been reading- that they stopped that , and the Tinks Treasures.

I have a lot of firsts coming up in Jan:

First stay on-site (in a looong time)
First DME experience
First trip with just DH & me
First pre-opening ADR at CP
And I plan to book the KTTK tour while DH golfs.

Some July 2012 firsts:
First dole whip float
First carrot cake cookie - won't be the last
First Wishes Dessert Party
First time using APs
First visit to DTD - we were always so park focused in the past

We finally did this last year & it was great ---- actually not as crowded as I expected & we stayed the full week prior to Christmas day --- as long as you are mostly doing FastPass attractions & have enough days there and only need about 8-10 hours a day in the park it was great.

We'd like to hit all the Holidays at WDW :)

DME makes me cry every time on the return trip. :(
Carrot cake cookie?!

Carrot cake cookie! Like a giant whoopie pie filled with cream cheese icing. Easily big enough to share. I think they're only available at DHS.

Oh my gracious. Just added this to my do to list in my tiny PTR. Lol It sounds amazing!

Tom Sawyer Island is definitely going to the top of my list. Been reading a lot about it and can't believe I have never been there.

My next trip, for the first time I'll do:
-Tiki Room
-Astro Orbiter
-See Illuminations!

Great thread! It's interesting that some things my family considers must dos other folks have never done! (Like the Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, People Mover) Upcoming trip in Nov. (Thanksgiving week) was going to be a family trip (me, hubby, and grown kids), but DH can't get the time off, so I may turn it into a solo trip.

New things planned:
Candlelight Processional
Go to look at Christmas decorations at the resorts
Osborne Family Lights
The Animation Academy
Segway tour at Epcot
Spirit of Aloha
Finding Nemo
Dessert Party to watch Wishes

If I have time:
jungle cruise at night
Toy Story Mania
get cinnamon roll at Main St Bakery
Downtown Disney
Rope Drop (I always think it's a great idea, but never happens)

New things we did on last year's trip:
stay at deluxe resort
Magical Express
Dining Plan
ate at Whispering Canyon
ate at Coral Reef
Watched the Electric Water Pageant
Pin trading :yay:
ate dole whip (was somewhat disappointed in it)
Expedition Everest
Talktime with Crush
oh, and I painted my nails - Minnie Mouse - so was popular with any little girl who was waiting in a line near us. :rotfl:

There are so many things that I want to experience
- Dole Whip
- Segway tour
- Behind the seeds tour
- Toy Story Mania
- Magic, Memories and You
- Staying at a moderate resort
- California Grill
- Tonga Toast at Kona
- Monarail ride through all the resorts
- Downtown Disney

I am sure there are loads more!! I still have 7 months to add to the list :cool1:

Hmmmm...never heard of this! What's a waffle sandwich? I mean, duh! Waffle sandwich. . .so waffle, as the bread, but what's the filling?? Call me intrigued!!!

I heard about this for the first time while reading through a recent trip report. The one I saw had the waffle smothered in Nutella with bananas, strawberries and blueberries on top. It looked delicious, but I couldn't say if there are other flavors.

It's on my list and I plan to share it with my SO because it looked ginormous.

There is a thread on this on the boards. They are at sleepy hollow, I think!:)

The following is on my to do list for my next trip:
Watch an entire parade
Get a nice family picture in front of the castle
Visit Animal Kingdom Lodge
Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian
Bring my daughter to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
And last but not least the Nutella Waffle!!!
Every trip I have a list of things I want to do and we just can't get everything done in a week. Guess it gives me a good excuse to go back!

I'm adding to my to-do list daily, but so far it's:

Dole Whip - In all of my years going to Disney I haven't tried one. That will end!
Nutella Waffle - Self explanatory.
Soarin' - Haven't gotten to spend much time at Epcot.
Test Track - Always been closed when I've been.
Character dining breakfast at GF - Mary Poppins!
Jungle Cruise - Never bothered with it, but now I really want to ride!

Maybe Expidition Everest.... I hate being dizzy from all the head jarring on some coasters.

You should definitely do EE! Our DD was 10 during our last trip and was finally tall enough to ride all of the coasters... she was apprehensive to say the least. She did not like Space Mountain, Rock'n Roller-coaster or Thunder Mountain. We finally convinced her to ride EE and when she got off she was just giggling away and begging to ride again! So after another 5 rides that afternoon needless to say it is her favourite. I hope you give it a chance, going backwards and forwards is alot of fun, plus the view from the top is really remarkable!

Here's a list of our first times on our next trip:
1. Staying at CBR
2. one of the water parks (not sure which one)
3.eating at Teppen Edo and 1900 Park Faire
4.Tom Sawyer Island (not sure why we never did this)
5.Food and Wine Festival
6.ToT??? No Way!!

We will try and add another of the tours to our list. Not sure which one.

We have already taken the "Keys to the Kingdom Tour" and Also the 8 hour tour where you go behind the scenes at MK, Epcot, and HS. This tour included eating at the Whispering Canyon.
